[02] 'Sup All Night!

"Ohmygod, nesquiky chocolatey gooey squee!" Bouncing up and down on her seat sitting in front of the computer, Aspen excitedly squeals. "Come look at this," beckoning the other girls she doesn't even take her eyes off the screen.

In a circle around the tray of marshmallow fluff cupcakes and rainbow cookie Pop Tarts, Leya, Jayla and Sapphire sit licking their lips.

"Hmm," Sapphire gets to her feet first, peering closer at the webpage.

Soon, Leya and Jayla follow, dusting the crumbs off their laps as they rush forward, desperate to find out.

"It's, it's..." Aspen's sugar pink hair is flicking side to side as she shakes her head in complete happiness... "Lookies!" She points.

Sure enough, on the AP Music Magazine website, red header above, stating it is the latest news page... is a picture.

Of Raven... shielding his face with both hands, as Phoenix and Blu. Yes, Blu Lawless of Golden Atlas, hold hands and plunge off the side of a white boat, into the water.

"What?!" blurts Sapphire, slurping, then spurting cream soda through a selection of neon straws.

"Blu Lawless is friends with Death to the Skies!" squeals Aspen, still not able to get over the news.

"That's... kinda cool," says Leya, absorbed, reading further on.

"Yeah," says Jayla not really paying attention, bobbing her head to the music, black hair falling onto Sapphire's arm as they all crowded round the same space. 2:43am, reads the bottom right of the computer monitor. Monday night, now turned Tuesday morning - 1st January 2013. It was late into their New Year's party.

Sapphire and Jayla hosted it. As sisters and living central between Leya and Aspen's houses, this was often the location for the four best friends' regular meet ups and parties. If there had to be a rule, they were always crazy. And this was no exception.

Ice Cream Party begins blaring from the speakers and Jayla takes it to the dance floor, narrowly missing squishing the cakes with her huge platforms.

"Come, dance with me!" she giggles, but the others don't budge.

Annoyed, she stops and wipes her forehead, smudging the red lipstick from her lips up there.

"Look, watch this video," Leya explains, and they click on a link to YouTube.

Raven, Phoenix and Blu are having a water fight.

Then after there is white text on a black background saying 'RUMOR! SPOILER ALERT!!!'

The girls all lean in closer. There are about 7 pages of comments already and this video was only uploaded 3 days ago. 34,764 views. But why?!

'Raven and Phoenix of Death to the Skies have teamed with Blu Lawless and the three are said to be making an album together. There are rumours of future attempts to sail the seas on a worldwide boat tour to get revenge on Mirage's Raveship, which they recently all officially removed their names from the member's list of.'

It reads.

"Oh my god!" Jayla now, with a poptart in hand, rainbow sprinkles falling to the ground as she takes a bite... gets wide eyes. "Wouldn't that be great?"

"Yeah!" Leya nods, smiling, "Death to the Skies touring the UK!"

"It'll be a first," smiles Sapphire, with a hopeful glint in her eyes.

"It'll be the best," Aspen claps her hands together spinning around in the chair, adding "With Blu Lawless! I love Blu."

They all laugh, and Jayla throws a cupcake at Aspen for seemingly no reason.

"Hey!" Aspen crosses her arms, "That was mean," she frowns.

"I'm sorry," giggles Jayla, grabbing a pillow for cover.

Soon a full-fledged cupcake fight is in motion, the floor covered in sticky blue, pink and yellow icing.

"The problem is," says Sapphire, cleaning up the last remnants with a chequered J-cloth, "Raven has a restraining order."

"Yeah," sighs Jayla, staring at the mess she made, starting to draw swirls in it with her finger, "It sucks. So... I doubt they'll be able to do the tour."

"Oh no," Leya starts to write DTT, "Really?"

"Yeah," says Sapphire, finally sitting down, dumping the cloth in a plastic bowl. "He got banned from the UK when he got convicted for sexual harassment charges... falsely," she adds frowning.

"Jayla," says Aspen, changing the subject completely, "Didn't you meet Blu Lawless once?"

Leya goes back to add the S to her creation.

Jayla laughs, as Aspen clearly can't think of anything else, "Yeah," she goes into a dream, "Yeah, I did meet Blu Lawless once..."

For a moment they all sit there, in doubt of what to do.

In the background, flicking round and round are the disco lights in Sapphire's bedroom, casting odd and colourful shadows.

Then Jayla cracks it, her hand flying to her mouth.

"Oh my god, I just remembered something!"
