Sorry for having Nico as the first one! Also, Nico gets shoved into a locker at one time, so. . . Yeah. He's not getting bullied, though! Hope you enjoy, now that I've given you a proper introduction-
Self-Doubt: HAHA, as IF! You suck!
Me: I know, you don't have to rub it in! (No, I was NOT just having an argument with myself!) Sorry, and Bye!
...For now...

Astrea's POV:

Hey, I'm Astrea Robbins! Most people know this already, but I'm number one at my boarding school, Peterson High. (I drew a blank.)
Everyone loves me and wants to be my friend, saying how beautiful my blue eyes and blonde hair look. I participate in many activities, such as: Drama Club, Yearbook. I've been told I'm a good actress, and I want to make sure I get into the yearbook the most, so why not join those clubs?
Right now, I'm at my locker with two of my boyfriends and my "friend," Aubrey. "Anything new?" I ask her.
She reaches into her binder and pulls out a folder with the name Nico Angel printed on it. The reason she has access to files in the first place is that I had her join the Student Council so she could keep me updated on what's going on at school.
She hands the file to me and says, "There's supposed to be a new student coming in today." I look at the name on the folder again. It feels both foreign and familiar at once, like I've heard it somewhere before. Oh well.
"What are their gender and pronouns?" I ask.
"He's a cis male." Aubrey replies instantly. I smirk.
"Why don't I greet him formally? And when he inevitably asks to date me, I'll of course have to say yes. It's not his fault I'm irresistible, after all. I'll just be forced to have him be my, what was it again, fifth boyfriend."
"Sounds great!" Aubrey barked. I swear, she acts like a dog sometimes. She's practically asking to get picked on.
As if on cue, I notice a boy I've never seen before walking down the hallway. From what I can make out at a distance, he has unkept black hair, a black skull shirt, jeans, black shoes, and an aviator jacket. He seems to be either goth or emo.
Aubrey spots him too, suddenly looking worried. "I asked around, and nobody knows a thing about him. It's like he never even existed before now. He's also goth by the looks of it, so why even bother with him?" I played with my hair, "accidentally" whacking her in the face. Oops.
"What are you saying?" I snap. "I don't care what he looks like. I just want to "welcome" him to school and show him around."
"Sorry for misunderstanding!" Aubrey says.
When the boy reaches me, my outstretched arm just happens to be in front of him, blocking his path. He looks at me with a detached look on his face, like he'd seen me commit murder and didn't want to testify as a witness.
"Hey there, my name's Astrea Robbins," I say, smiling widely. "I heard you're new here. What's your first period? I could help you find it if you want."
The boy sidesteps me, saying, "I have Greek Mythology, and I know my way there. Thanks for offering, but I don't need help." He then starts walking away.
As he walks past me, images flash in my mind of the new kid telling people he got harassed, of people finding out it was me, of me being shunned.
In a moment of utter desperation and panic, I quickly open my empty locker and push the boy inside. I then realized what I've done, that it's too late to turn back now. I can't very well let him go after I forcibly trapped him in a locker. It's for that reason alone that I turn the lock so nobody can open it by accident.
I lean in close to the door. "Now you listen here. I'm gonna come back for you during lunch, and you aren't telling anyone about this once you're out, got it? If you do, you'll wish you were never born." And with that, I swiftly walk to Greek Mythology, my own first period, with Aubrey and a couple of my boyfriends still behind me.

Nico's POV:
"Now you listen here. I'm gonna come back for you during lunch, and you aren't telling anyone about this once you're out, got it? If you do, you'll wish you were never born."
After "Astrea Robbins" says that from the other side of a locker door, I hear retreating footsteps. I sigh. This is a first, that's for sure. I'm not worried about getting out though, since the locker's filled with shadow.
And so, even though it's against doctor's orders, I simply Shadow Travel into a bathroom I saw on my way to class. Stepping out of it, I start my trek to Greek Mythology again.

Astrea's POV:
I walk into class with my companions to find the new kid already there. I gasp as I see him lounging at a desk in a corner at the back of the room. He looks at me for a second, then goes back to staring at nothing. Just as I'm about to run up to him, already reaching into my pockets for cash, the bell rings.
Our teacher, Mr. Theria, walks in to start the day. "Okay class, I'd like you to know that we have a new student with us today. Would you care to come up and introduce yourself?"
The boy slowly walks up to the front of the room by the teacher. "Hey," he starts. "my name's Nico Angel." At the mention of his odd name, a few kids laugh softly. Before Mr. Theria can get them to stop, Nico nods his head knowingly. "I'm aware that my name is strange. I'm also aware that I can't be up here all day, so I'd like to—"
Suddenly, Nico's phone rings. A pink tinge briefly colors his pale face. He looks at the teacher in askance. Mr. Theria nods his head, silently giving the okay for Nico to answer the call. "Oh, but, Mr. Angel," Nico looks confused for a split second at the sound of his name. I wonder what that's about?

Nico's POV:
"Oh, but Mr. Angel," the teacher says before I hit the answer button. I wonder who he's talking to before quickly realizing it's me. "I'm sorry, but we, like many other boarding schools in this district, require that you put your phone on speaker when talking to make sure you're not involved in anything dangerous." (I'm so unoriginal, I know.) I feel a bit nervous at that remark, but click the answer button regardless.
(I'm just gonna say the name of who's talking for this part.)
Nico: "What do you want?"
Will: "Gee, nice to talk to you too, Death Breath."
I keep telling him not to call me that. . . especially in school, where it can give away too much information.
Nico: "I'm in school right now. Why'd you call?"
Will: "You need to come back to camp right now."
Nico: "Why? It's my first day. What's so important that I'm needed?"
Will: "It's Percy."
Nico: "Well, Jackson can eat it. His problems are no concern of mine, and you can tell him that yourself."
Gasps are heard throughout the classroom at the mention of the Percy Jackson. I pay them no mind.
Will: "The thing about that is. . ."
Percy: "Hey Neeks. What was it you want me to eat?"
I'm shocked that the other line was on speaker too. I look around the class to see that they're listening to every word, probably trying to commit Percy's voice to memory.
Nico: "Hey Percy. What did you need help with?"
Percy: "That's what I thought."
Nico: "Can it."
Percy: "Okay, okay, geez. So, the Stolls pranked your cabin since you were away and couldn't raise the—"
I cut him off there.
Nico: "Guys, need I remind you that I'm in school?"
Will: "They spray painted your cabin pink."
Nico: "What? Tell those idiots they'll be in Tartarus before they can say 'Schist'."
Percy: "Okay, we both know not to say that word, Nico. You know we all—" I cut him off again. "—said you'd almost gone insane. Wait, did you muffle my voice just now?"
Will: ". . . We're on speaker phone, aren't we?"
Nico: "Yes. Why does that matter, though."
That's when I hear the laughter of two demigods from the other line.
Percy and Will (shouting so all of the class can hear it): "Nico di Angelo, son of Hades, ambassador of Pluto—"
I cover my phone once again. But when I look around the class (smiling slightly like an idiot,) all I can see are stunned and scared faces, a few people even bowing down to me from their seats. The girl who'd shoved me into a locker—Astrea—has an expression of both on her face.
Nico: "Shut up, both of you. I would've gone back to camp anyway, you didn't have to make it impossible for me to return here!"
My face feels hot, and I can tell I'm turning pink to match the Hades cabin.
Percy: "We both know that's a lie."
Will: "We had to stick the nail in the coffin."
Then they hang up, just like that.
I proceed to look around the classroom, seeing that everyone's bowing now except for that Astrea girl, who's still frozen in her chair.
I decided to break the silence. "Sorry to cut this short, but I've got twins to kill."
And with that, once again against doctor's orders, I Shadow Travel a second time, now to Camp Half-Blood, knowing full-well I won't be enrolled in school for the remainder of the year.

So, how'd you like this first actual chapter? I think I cringed all the way back to my lower intestine at some point, to be honest. But, tell me what you guys think of it down in the comments! Or don't, it's up to you. . .
Me: Is this how you play hard to get?
Self-Doubt: HAH, why do you want to play hard to get when you don't have anyone to play with?
Me: Oh, shut up! (Once again, the answer is no.)
But, in all seriousness guys, thank you SO SO MUCH for reading this! And also, here's the word count: 1791. I was kinda' going for 2,000, but hey, you can't always get what you want.
But I was pretty close, at least. Right? RIGHT? RIGHT?! RIGHT?! RIGHT?!?!?

Sorry. But that's all for now... Bye!
