Chapter 2
As I say down on my towel, my friend, Elysia, introduced me to the two people I didn't know: Bailey and Austin. I thought to myself, "Austin's a cute name, and he's pretty cute, so it fits him well."
Am I really.
They both said, "Hey it's nice to meet you!". I had no absolute idea how to reply. I surely didn't want to look like a complete goof, especially in front of a really cute guy. So I just replied with, "Nice to meet you guys too!" And smiled.
What. The. Heck.
He's staring at me. What do I do?
I smiled, tossed my hair to the side not meaning to, then took off my sweater.
"Cute swim suit top!" Bailey said.
I smiled and replied, "Thank you! It's kind of old, though. I need a new one." Right after the words came out of my mouth, Austin didn't hesitate at all as he told me, "I like it too. It looks really cute on you." And gave me a smile.
What is this!?
"I hate to cut the chat," Elysia interrupted, "but I can't untie my top, so I'm going to the bathroom to fix it." Afraid of being embarrassed or too shy while she was gone, I quickly uttered out, "I'll go with you. I need to put on sunscreen." I then clutched the sunscreen and walked away.
When we entered the bathroom, the words slipped out. "He's really cute," I said.
"You think so?" Elysia said, "He was totally checking you out." Blushing, I denied it and told her to hurry up, even though I saw him looking at me.
As we got back, I declared, "Let's go swim!" So they got up and followed Elysia and I.
Austin though had caught up to me and kept looking down at my hand.
"I really want to hold your hand right now," Austin said with a smile on his face.
SAY WHAT NOW?!
The words just came out, almost like I planned it. "I have to admit, I'm surprised you said that. Well if you want to, just grab my hand."
Austin replied, "I have the balls to say stuff that other guys won't. And I will." So he grabbed my hand and cheerfully walked to the pool with me.
I knew then he was very different, in a good way. And I was loving it.
Everyone was looking at us, mouthing, "You two are dating?!" I just smiled and waved because I didn't care.
I sat down at the edge as Elysia and Bailey jumped in, making a splash. I felt Austin behind me as I stated, "Do not push me in."
He bent over me to where his face was about an inch away from mine as he hovered over me and replied "Well why not?"
Next thing I knew I was under water.
When I came back up, it was all so quick as I saw Austin jump right on top of me into the water. We both came back up as he told me, "That one was for you."
Elysia butted in and said, "You two would make an amazing couple!"
"Exactly what I thought!" He replied as he grabbed me from behind and put me in his arms.
And the rest was history.
