Chapter 10

It's been about a week since I last talked to Harry. I've gotten a minimum of 10 texts from him, all saying things along the lines of "Sorry, I'm busy. Maybe tomorrow?" Or no reply at all. I'm not entirely sure if he's avoiding me, or really busy. I wanted to believe the later, but I had my doubts.

Last Thursday night I went Liam's to play that spectacular video game he was going off about, and man, that game is absolutely magnificent. Right after I left his house, I went to the nearest store to purchase it myself.

It is now Saturday night, and I've been playing this game none stop, the last three days. I love everything about it, from the characters to the setting and floating buildings that were littered across the sky. The game took place in 1912, so don't ask how the buildings were floating. It had something to do with these crazy scientists who wanted to take advantage of a girl who could teleport through different times and space. Kind of like The Doctor from Doctor Who. The officials were also very racist and frowned upon blacks and whites getting married. Then

One individual however, wouldn't take that and started her own rebellion and called it the Vox Populli.

There was also a man who had to break the girl out of her prison, to wipe away his debt, from gambling, and bring her back to his office in New York. But, the man agreed to join the Vox Populli and had to retrieve weapons from a high security safe inside a police station. Elisabeth, the girl he rescued, was able to open tears and take them to different realms, so they could easily get around the officials.

In the end, Elisabeth and Booker make it out alive. Booker soon realized that he was the man who was behind everything. From locking Elisabeth, who is also his daughter, away in a tower, and creating a war above the coast of Maine, potentially wiping out the human race. And for these actions, Booker is faced with Elisabeth from different ages, and they say Booker need to be cleansed for his troubles and damages to the United States. So, the girls all take apart of him, and drown him in the river, with the saying "Booker, are you afraid of god?" and Booker says "No, but I'm afraid of you." Then the credits rolled in.

I dropped the controller, and my mouth hung open. I was in complete shock!

That was it? It can't be it!

I was in complete shock! What am I supposed to do for the rest of the weekend? I might as well get ready for homecoming week.

Homecoming week is the only week in the school year that everyone is willing to go through, with dress-up days, and activities including: powderpuff futball, male volleyball, relay races, eating, and screaming contents, and also a variety of days with special snacks assigned to them.

Monday: Dress up: Ugly Hawaiian Shirt; Had free Ice Cream for the people who dress up, and on sale for the rest for £2.

Tuesday: Dress up: Superhero day; snack: deep fried cheese curds; and the activity is a scavenger hunt.

Wednesday: Dress up: Class color;

each class has to go out on one color. This year, my class has to wear Purple.

Snack: Homemade cookies. Activity: Relay races.

Thursday: Dress up: 70's attire, many people get the 70's, 60's, and the 80's confused.

Every year, there's that one person who wears an Afro and Zoot suit.

Snack: More ice cream. Activity: eating contest.

Friday: Dress up: School spirit, wear all the white and green you had. Snack: Ice Cream, and root beer floats. Activities: powderpuff, male volleyball, and more eating contests and relay races. Along with the shouting contests.

Our class never stands a chance against the others, we're the smallest class in the school, yet we still manage to win every event, except the shouting contest.

I've got all my outfits set up, and enough money to get myself food. Niall better bring an entire bank with him if he wants some. There's also pranks that go on, literally everywhere. There's hardly any learning during that week of school. The teachers get really into homecoming as well, and have pranks on each other. It's hilarious!

The classes also get very, very, VERY, competitive too. Last year, it got so bad, everyone had to sit and listen to the headmaster lecture about how this is supposed to fun.

It'll be the same this year, I know it. No one follows that rule. It's either go big or go home. But there is one rule; never, ever, EVER, put anyone else, no matter what grade, in the trunk of your car. EVER. That used to be a really big prank back when mum and Jack were in school. There was a senior who put a freshman in his trunk, and forgot about him all day. And thank goodness it was rainy all that day, or he would've boiled on the inside. Literally.

After a long while if sitting on the couch, I finally got up and changed out video games, putting Bioshock Infinite in its designated box, and put Skyrim in. I've beaten this game before, but I love it. The atmosphere is so beautiful. I can't get over that.

A half an hour later, I felt my eyes grow heavy, and shut the system down. I got up and collected my trash and blanket. After throwing the wrappers from my snacks away, I went to bed, thinking about Harry. I just couldn't get my mind off him.

Soon, I fell asleep, imagining myself in his arms.
