There was the ear piercing sound of chairs scrapping against the tiled floor as everyone got up to stretch. "So, what instrument did you sign up for in band?" Liam asks as he stretches his arms above his head.

"Tenor saxophone, you?" I reply while I crack my back. "Alto sax." he says dropping his arms to his sides in disappointment. "You're suppose to play the same thing as me!" I whine and hit his arm. "I told you to sign up for alto!" He said hitting me back.

"You said tenor!"

"No I didn't."

"Yeah."

"No."

"Yeah!"

"No, I didn't."

"Whatever, I heard tenor."

He laughed. He always wins the arguments. Why can't he admit he said tenor and not alto. "If it makes you feel any better I signed up for trombone. I have all the same parts as the tenor and they're usually placed behind them." Niall says.

"See! At least someone appreciates me!" I gesture to the blond boy. "Just be glad I'm in the section right next to you." Liam said and my heart lept with excitement, I thought I wouldn't see Liam all year but I'll most likely be able to sit next to him in band.

"Oh thank god!" I cheered then hugged him tightly. "Get off of me! People are going to think something is going on between us!" Liam shrieked and pushed me off. I put my hand over my heart in a mocking manor. "Fine, I'll hug Niall. Niall?"

He sighed then stood up. I opened my arms and he did the same and engulfed each other. He nuzzled his face in my neck, sending chills down my spine. It's official, this boy gives the best hugs and smells wonderful.

Before we pulled away from one another I heard someone mutter 'faggots' under their breath as they walked by. That's one of the #1 one words I absolutely hate, I can't stand that word, nor 'retard'. Its offensive!

I release Niall and turn in the direction where I heard the voice. I saw the boy that helped me pick my stuff up rush in the opposite direction. He suddenly turned and I gave him a death glare and restrained myself from flipping him the bird. All he did was smirk and kept walking.

He's lucky he's hot...

"alright everyone! Back to business and have a seat!" Principal Higgins says in the mic that's now on his. "Next we're going to introduce you the new staff to the freshmen, and the rest of the upperclassmen." Why is he introducing the teachers? I already know who they all are, unless there's new ones.

"For Language Arts class! Mrs. Hendsman, Miss Thompson, Mrs. Bergs, and Ms. Johnson! A warm round of applause!" Higgins says excitedly and starts to clap, having the rest of the students clap. I recognized all those teachers from all the previous years and for this year.

"For the Science class! Mr. Holter, Mr. Hanson, Mrs. Aldous, and the addition to the science team, Miss Flack!" The last one was indeed new, she seemed to young to be teaching high school classes. She also looked like a whore and seemed to think shes better than the other teachers because she's giving away a forced, bright smile and waving like a float queen would.

"The new one seems to giddy." Liam says, and I mock her wave, making Niall laugh uncontroablly. Higgins introduced all the other teachers, that I already knew and could care less about, but I still payed attention.

"Now, could all the freshmen stand up so that the upperclassmen know whom to beat during homecoming week?" Ahh, homecoming, The best week of school throughout the year. The only week where you can get away with tee-peeing houses, forking yards, dressing in stupid outfits, and having screaming contests on the last day!

All the freshmen stand, including curly and 'Waldo.' I know what you're thinking. 'I thought he was a sophmore!' but it turns out he's a freshmen. He was in year 8 when Liam and I discovered him. He would always be at football games, concerts, and other events, wearing a sweater with white stripes.

Waldo started to sing a random song before Higgins shut him up, "Shut it, Malik!" He said it sarcastically and serious at the same time. So Waldo's last name is 'Malik.' Next step is to find out his first name.

"Did you hear that!? Waldo's name is Malik!" Liam said laughing. "No that's his last name, idiot." I state to him as he stands when Higgins tells the sophomores to stand. I catch a glimpse of curly look other in this direction almost scared. He's lucky I'm not a senior or I would egg his house, tee-pee it, saran wrap it, then shove him in Liam's trunk and leave him.

I would do it this year but I'm not going to risk getting suspended. "Sophmores, you can sit. Now if the Juniors can stand?" I stood up from my chair and looked around the room, seeing all 84 of us standing. Year 11 is the smallest throughout all three schools. In the far corner I saw Stan, another one of my close friends.

When he saw me he started to wave like a maniac. I waved back, equally enthused. On the other side I saw Kevin, another good friend. He nodded to me and I did the same. "Okay, juniors, sit." We did as we were told and sat. I tuned Higgins out and turned to Niall, "Did you stand up?" he shook his head.

"MR. HIGGINS!" I yelled as the seniors sat. "MR. HIGGINS! FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENTS!" I yelled and he nodded. "Thank you, Louis. And last and certainly not least, The foreign exchange students, will you please stand?" Higgins said and Niall glared at me before standing, along with 3 other students.

"Would you all mind coming down and saying who you are and where you're from?" Higgins asked politely. They all made their way to the front. Now I feel bad for making Niall do that, he looks so scared, lonely, nervous, and vulnerable. "You're so mean." Liam said leaning back in his chair.

"I know, I feel bad now." Liam patted my shoulder and watched as Niall put a different mic to his lips. "My name's Niall, and I came from Ireland." He said then passing the mic on. Th boy next to him had his hair all done fancy like, which had all the girls litrally drooling.

Turns out he's from Germany but I couldn't catch his name through his thick accent, then passed the mic to the girl next to him. He had a futball jersey on, along with athletic shorts. Her hair was shoulder length but frizzy. She was from Spain and her name is Nikki.

She handed the mic to the boy next to her, He seemed like Niall, very shy and nervous. "My name is Jack, and I'm from Germany as well." His hair was combed to oneside and wearing tight chinos, quite lke mine but tan, and a gray shirt. He also had huge blue eyes, he was cute, but not as cute as Curly.

Oh god! I'm having thoughts about a boy I don't even know! "Okay, we went through the policys, the dress code, which means no dresses for the boys, Tomlinson." WHY THE HELL IS HE REFERING TO ME?! What did I do?

"Why not?!" I shouted so he could hear me. I knew he was being sarcastic but I still felt disappointed. Everyone laughed and Higgins went on about not using you're cellular devices during classes and shit like that.

"Now, if you would all report to your adviosry's and they'll explain more about it. Then carry on to 1st hour, then 2nd, 3rd and so on." He commanded over the sound of people talking and the chairs scrapping against the floor. That sound was almost like finger nails on a chalk board.

"Where do you go?" I asked Liam and Niall when he came back. "Ehlers." They both said. Mr. Ehlers was the easteren history teacher. "You?" Liam asked as I picked my stuff up. "Fern." I say while sticking my tongue out slightly.

"I thought he was in the hospital for cancer." Liam pondered. "He might be." I said as we drifted apart and went our seperate ways. I went into the gym where my adivosry class was. All the years were scrambled up so there was a mix of year 9, 10, 11, and 12 here.

We all stood around the center circle of the gym and looked between the 14 lads and gals we'd be with for the rest of the year. They all seemed nice, until I heard a loud groan, then the sound of books and binder slam on the ground. I didn't need to turn to see who it was.

I already knew it who it was. They also didn't need an introduction.
