When I woke up I was in a bed at a hospital, hooked up to one of those beepy thingies. Rachel was standing by my side.
"Oh my gosh, you're awake! I thought you would be in that coma for years!" She seemed shocked and excited and confused all at once.
"How long was I out, Rachel?" I ask.
"Two da- how do you know my name?!"
"Long story that I'll tell you later. For now get me my clothes so I can get out of this hospital robe thing." I only feel comfortable in the clothes I remember having forever.
"Your blazer and stuff?"
"Yes, my blazer and stuff."
"Let me go tell them you're awake," she says as she starts towards the door.
"STOP! YOU WILL TELL NOBODY ANYTHING! WE NEED TO GET OUT RIGHT NOW!"
"Fine. Jeez."
As soon as I'm changed I teleport us out of the room.
"OH MY GOSH WHAT WAS THAT?!" She asked, amazed.
"That was my watch. It's extremely advanced in science. I have no idea who made it, but they aren't human." At least I think they weren't.
"Oh. Okay then."
"You aren't freaking out. In fact you seem kind of amused. Why's that?"
"Since you showed up, wierd things have been happening. You know, those Daleks or whatever. Some sort of shadow-person thing was following me. I think he's here."
"Was it a talking shadow with the voice of a British man in his twenties?"
"Um, yes."
"Okay. Let's run."
"Why?"
"Just shut up and follow me."
And so our journey began.
