Thump. Echoes the natural pump. Thump. The expansion of her chest becomes dominant. Thump. Her eyes connect with themselves in paranoia of her own reflection. Thump. Her golden braids glimmer catching her attention. Thump. Irma she thinks. Thump.
Somewhere in the palace…Using the morning light as guidance, a dark brown figure clothed in cleaning attire swiftly moves through the shadows of the walls in the hallway. The figure comes to a complete stop and her face is shown. It is the maid, Irma.
Irma looks up to the ceiling, thinking out loud. “Princess, I just know you must have made it. Now I've just got to carry out my end of the promise. I've got to stay here long enough to see you come….” she is cut in her tracks.
A thunderous roar of rumbling footsteps stomp onto the wooden floor.Aboard on the Dayroom…
Arabella touches the tips of her golden braids as she looks at them in the newly polished mirror with her mind running on her maid. I'll see her again.
“GROAGGGHHHRRR!” a loud but muffled snore erupts. Arabella jumps out of frightenment.
“Groaghhhhrr!” the snore sounds off again. Is that… Arabella thinks as a smile curls on to her smooth face. She races up off of the bottom half of the bunk bed, leaving her hand held mirror on the sheets. In excitement Arabella speeds to the door the seperates the rooms. As she looks at the door her mind runs back just a few hours back.
“Wow! This place is amazing! There's a kitchen, a bedroom, and even a potty!" Arabella rejoices
“But wait! You forgot the most important thing…” Koupie points out.
“What?”
“There's even a random door in the middle” Koupie says pointing to the door down the hall.
Wordless Arabella speeds down to that door and turns the knob. Wow! She thinks.
“It's another bedroom and a big window!” Arabella explains.
“Awesome, so this can be the girls' bedroom and the other one can be the boys'!” Koupie declares.
“Yeah, I really think I like this train thing!” Arabella says out loud as it replays in her mind. Arabella's mind falls back into her current situation.
Arabella appoaches the door with an ear to ear smile, yanking it open. As she opens the door she is blinded by light of day. It is bright, but slightly bearable. The Princess' eyes begin to adjust and Koupie's brown body starts to become visible on the bed.
“Hey, sleepyhead wake up!” Arabella shouts.
Koupie remains motionless, sound asleep. Arabella shrugs, well you asked for it she thinks. Arabella jumps to her knees and locates the boy's feet, instantly taking his shoes off of one and then quickly following with the other. She spreads each finger with perfect distance and goes in for the kill.
“Tickle, Tickle, Tickle!” she shouts ironically as the giggles erupt from her own mouth. Arabella notices the snoring has stopped, but Koupie is still not awake. So she switches to the next foot. “Tickle, Tickle, Tickle!” she shouts again.
An earthquake occurs. Koupie's body starts to shake and he jumps up. “Hey! Whats the -” his words are cut with a glimpse of the beauty of the blue eyed young girl. “Oh. Good Morning Princess.” Koupie smiles.
“Good Morning, Snoryhead.” Arabella says slickly with a smile.
“Oh I was loud?” Koupie asks.
“Maybe a little” Arabella replies, touching her golden braid.
Koupie's eye is quick to caught this movement and draws him into a thought. “Hey.” he says
“Yes?” Arabella says.
“Do you remember what ever happened to mask?” Koupie askes
Arabella takes a moment in thought, but comes to an answer. “Yeah, I think it smashed against the wall back when I was angry”
“Oh no.” Koupie looks down.
“Whats wrong?” Arabella concerns.
“Well it's just that I have no way to hide my face now.” Koupie says.
“WHY WOULD YOU EVER WANT TO-- I mean I'm sorry.” Arabella starts.“But why would you want to hide your face?”
“Well to keep my identity a secret I guess.” Koupie says after taking a moment to process.
Arabella looks at him puzzledly. “Its just I feel like the people you help deserve to know who saved them.” Arabella replies.
“Hmmm.” Koupie thinks out loud. “You maybe right Princess but, what about my loved ones? I could put them in danger with my identity out.”
Arabella smiles. “Maybe you think to low of the people you love, I'm sure they can protect themselves.”
“Well in that case…” Koupie starts.
“SCREEEEEE-EEEEECCCH!” the tracks cry out as the friction of the wheels strengthens. Viciously the train shivers and shakes.
“Whats going on?” Arabella yells.
“I don't know!” Koupie yells back.
The intensity of the quaking heightens, throwing Arabella and Koupie to the wall.
“Woaaahhh!” the both yell simultaneously.
“Hold on I've got it!” Koupie shouts throwing his arm up. Koupie spawns a matter chain tying him and Arabella to the wall.
“I think were stopping!” Arabella yells over the squeaks.
“We are!” Koupie screams out of great enjoyment.
The squeals of the track's volume lowers, the shakes lose their power, the red matter chain dissipates, the train is still.
“Hey it stopped!” Arabella says
“So lets go!” Koupie says grabbing Arabella's hand and shooting through the door, running down the hallway way passing the girls' room then the kitchen to the next door, out to the daylight.
Koupie stops in his tracks with Arabella following.“This is the City of Arsin.” he says with a glimpse of the city in his eyes and the derailed train behind him.
“Wow its beautiful…” Arabella says in awe. “Lets get something to eat! ” she abruptly shouts.
