If I could

If I could, I would write a poem to change the world, humanity, the way society thinks and talks

I would stand on top a mountain and proclaim my love for my one and only

Say how much they mean to me, how I could never let go of I tried

If I could, I would live small childhood dreams of never growing up and never falling down

I would make sure that the gun in everones hand was pointed up and not at themselves

I would be the shoulder for everyone to cry on, I would carry everyone's burden

And as badly as I want to

I still must grow up

I still must try not to point the gun at myself

I still must love silently

I still must try to suffer through my own burden

But I would never give up on that poem to change the world.

Even if you doubt I can.
