The Lake House (An IM5 Fan Fiction)

Chapter 4

DANA'S POV

I see Will and Rachel sitting on the swing together, talking and eating their s'mores. I look over and see Cole and Kelsey kissing. Damn. It makes me miss Liv so much more. I hear a car honk and I run up the side of the small hill. I run across the street to see none other than Liv and Alex getting out of her car.

"Liv!" I say and run up to her. I hug her. I pull back and kiss her.

"Dana, I missed you so much!" she says.

"Why were you across the street?" Alex asks.

"Our neighbors are our new friends. They're letting us roast marshmallows with them. Come on!" I say and we run across the street together.

"Liv! Alex!" the boys shout. Liv looks over and notices Will talking with Rachel.

"Ouch! I haven't seen my best friend in three months and when I show up you pretend I'm not there?" she asks him.

"Oh! Uh, hey, Liv."

"Ouch," she says again.

"I've missed you guys so much," she adds.

"I missed you so much, babe," Gabe says, kissing Alex.

"I've missed you, too," she says and hugs him.

"Hey. I'm Kelsey, Cole's girlfriend," Kelsey says and Cole kisses her cheek.

"I'm Olivia, but you can call me Liv. I'm Dana's girlfriend," Liv says and hugs me around my torso. I kiss the top of her head.

"I'm Gabe's girlfriend, Alex," Alex says and the two of them kiss.

"And I'm Rachel," she says awkwardly and smiles a fake smile.

"That is a completely fake smile. Smile for real," Will says, poking her cheek.

"Make me," she says. He kisses her cheek and she bites her lip, looking up, holding the smile back. He makes a face at her and she starts breathing a little faster, holding it back. He starts poking her stomach.

"Stop it!" she says, laughing like crazy, trying to smack his hands away. He picks her up and spins her around in a circle. He lets her down and they hug each other.

"Aww. It would only be cuter if their matching sweatshirts weren't blinding me," Alex says and we all start to laugh.

"Hey kids, we're going to bed. Make sure you put the fire out before you come back inside," Rachel's parents say.

"Hey, mom? Is it okay if my friends stay with us?" Rachel asks.

"We don't have enough room," her dad says.

"Not the boys. Just Liv and Alex," she says.

"Oh! Sure! You ladies are welcome to stay here as long as you like," her mom says.

"Thank you! That'd be great!" Liv says. Will and Rachel start running around again.

"I'm about ready to call it a night. What about you guys?" David asks.

"Actually, I'm gonna call it a morning. 12:01 people!" Kelsey says, waving her arms in the air.

"Boys, can you help with our stuff?" Alex asks.

"Sure," me and Gabe say. The four of us walk back to Liv's car. She pops the trunk and we each grab a bag. We walk back across the street and bring their bags to the basement. Will and Rachel are setting up the couch that turns into a bed. Rachel brings her pillow and blanket over to it and sets it down.

"No. I refuse. Go put that stuff back. I'll sleep here," Alex says.

"It's okay! I'm fine with it!" Rachel says.
