WILL'S POV

How did I not see that coming? I just stand there and the guys walk up to me, along with Kelsey.

"What did she say?" Cole asks.

"She told me about what happened, or what hasn't happened rather. Then I said 'How can no guys like such a beautiful girl?' and then she said that a lot of guys like Kelsey and ran off," I say. Kelsey looks down.

"Oh, man. I'm sorry," Gabe says giving me a bro hug.

"What are you talking about?" Kelsey asks. I told the guys that I think I like Rachel. Kelsey doesn't know, and knowing her, she would most likely tell Rachel about it.

"Nothing. Too much to say in too little time," David says and we keep walking. I definitely do not want Kelsey to know, but even then, I don't know if I like her for sure. We reach the girls' house and Kelsey walks toward the door.

"Do you mind if we use your stairs to the lake? We're across the street so we don't have that," Cole asks before she goes in.

"Sure," she says and leaves. We walk back across the street to our house.

"I'm sorry about Rachel, dude," Dana says.

"Guys, don't worry about it. I don't even know if I really do like her or not," I say and Cole raises his eyebrow at me.

"What?" I ask.

"Nothing," he says. I roll my eyes and walk into my room. I put on my swim trunks and walk across the street, deep in thought on whether I like Rachel or not. Her smile, her laugh, everything about her is amazing. In the middle of the road, I hear an engine roar and I look to my right to see a car barreling toward me.

"Will!" someone shouts and pushes me out of the way. I get up off of the concrete and help the girl who saved me as well. I see Rachel looking at me. She has a really bad scratch on the side of her right shoulder and the side of her right knee.

"Oh jeez. I'm really sorry," I say. She grimaces trying to walk.

"Ah. Ouch," she says under her breath.

"Hold your arms out," I say and she does what I ask. I pick her up bridle style and she wraps her arms around my neck. She rests her head on my shoulder as I carry her back to me and the guys' place.

"Holy crap!" she says.

"What?" I ask.

"Your back! It's really beat up," she says and I manage to knock on the door with her in my arms. Cole opens the door and sees me carrying her and he smirks. He sees her scratches and his eyes go wide. He helps me sit her on the couch. He leaves to get some supplies to clean the wounds. He comes back with bandages, pills, and a glass of water.

"Here. This will help with the pain," he says and hands her the pills and water. She gratefully takes it and swallows it. "Whoa! Your back!" he says.

"Yeah. Yeah. I got it. I'm scraped up. Help me, please?" I ask and he grabs a wet cloth. He begins to lightly clean the dirt and dry blood off of the wounds and I put bandages on them. After that, Cole leaves, so it is just me and Rachel.

"Now it's your turn," she says and sits me on a footstool so she can access my back. She slowly limps over and grabs a cloth and gets it wet. She walks back to me.

"This may sting a little," she says and places the cloth on my back.

"Ow!" I jump up.

"Just hold still," she says, placing her hand on my shoulder. I sit back down. She keeps her hand on my shoulder and starts to clean off the scratches. I bite my lip to keep from screaming in pain.
