Previously...I get off the bus and I start to walk to Ice Castle Hasetsu.I smash through the doors, and slam my hands in the main reception desk.
I see Yuko walk out from behind the desk.
"I'm sorry, the rink is closed at the moment. Come back at 10:30am tomarrow-" she cuts of when she sees me."(Y/N)?"
~_🍋_~"Hi." I reply, scratching my cheek. She then starts to sprint around the desk, practically jumping over it and practically killing me with a bear hug.
"Ow."
"It's been so long!" she exclaims.
"Yeah it's been a bit." I say standing up, with the support of the counter.
"How was your ride? Any setbacks?" She asks."Let's see...I almost lost my tickets, I triped multiple times in the airport, I almost missed the last bus to Hasetsu....and that's pretty much it."
At that moment I realized how monotone I sounded. She then looks at me mischievously.
"Hah! Well it sucks to be you, (Y/N)! Also, you sound so gray and boring I feel like I'm talking to a plant." She says.
"Good to see you to, Yuko." You sigh. Weirdo.
"I'm sorry, little (N/N) feelings?" Yuko says jokingly. "Yes! Oh I'm so SHOOK! I might as well die!" You mock.
"Well I would like to go home to my husband and kids. Feel free to come back tomorrow." She sighs picking up her purse from the counter.
"Tell them I say hi!" I say as we walk out of the rink together.
"Will do!" She replies, walking in the opposite direction. As I get closer to the inn, I can feel myself getting more and more giddy. I look towards the dark ocean, my cloudy breath slightly blocking my view.
I quietly sing a few words to Cavetown's "Lemon Boy". This one part has been stuck in my head for awhile.
"The whales start to beach themselves, tortoiseshells tear away from their spines.
It happens all the time, it happens all the time."I looked away from the black void of water and turn my gaze to the inn.
A new feeling over comes me, sending me running to The Hasetsu Hot Spring and Inn.
