Kasey's POV
It was almost time for math. Just a few more minutes. But until then, I should be enjoying my time sitting next to Aramis, my new best friend. I learned that the other guy's name is Asa."Kasey," Aramis nudged me. "That boy over there is staring at you."
I turned to where Ryan was sitting. He was watching us.
"Um, hi... can I help you?" I asked a little confused on why he was looking at me. Talking to him for the first time in months.
"As if you didn't know," I heard him mutter to himself.
"What's that supposed to mean??" I demanded, upset that he was talking in riddles.
"You're-"
RING!
He got cut off by the bell. Guess I wouldn't be able to know what he's trying to say. His lips continued moving as if trying to tell me something and he looked really angry. Everyone started making lots of noise and rushed to get to 6th period, so I couldn't hear him even more. I turned my attention back to Aramis.
"See you in the forum?" Aramis asked me a little hopefully.
"Yeah," I confirmed with a small smile. "Bye!"
"Bye," he said and returned a smile.
I walked casually out of the door but after I turned the corner, I tried to hide the huge smile that was creeping up on my face. I turned around to see if I could walk with anyone, but instead, I saw Ryan. He glanced at me for a split second, looked away, and walked downstairs. The incoming smile disappeared completely. Then I got this weird feeling in my stomach. What was it? I wasn't sure if I wanted to find out... I walked to math alone and thought about the day's events. A lot had happened. From Asa and Aramis coming to our school to finding out Ryan might still care about me...? Maybe this is just a dream and it's supposed to teach me a lesson? If this is seriously a dream then I wouldn't want to wake up... yet. Maybe until after school. As I approached my seat I looked around and noticed that Faliha wasn't in the room yet. That made sense because because she had Language Arts for 5th period, which was a few doors down from Mr. Polentz's. I sat at my desk and waited patiently for her to arrive. I have to ask her to wake me up-only if this is actually a dream-after math ends. I wait for a couple more seconds and I see them. Faliha, Julie, and the new boy, Asa. By this time, the classroom is really noisy, full of laughter. So loud that I couldn't figure out what they were saying to each other. All I saw was The boy hugging Faliha and Julie, then I think they were talking for a little bit. But of course, none of them wanted to be late for 6th period, so Julie walked into Mrs. Crawford's classroom, Asa walked down the stairs, possibly to Mrs. Lake's class, and Faliha walked into Mrs. Huang's class straight to her desk with a smile growing on her face. I started to talk to her but then...
RING!
Great. I guess I'll have to ask her after school. I took out my notebook and last night's homework and started writing down today's notes.
Time skip to 6 min bell
Argh... just one more problem left until I'm done with tonight's homework!
"DONE!!!!" I jumped out of my seat and shouted.
Oops. That was embarrassing. Everyone laughed at me and I quickly sat back down to hide my face. I wondered again if this was a dream. If this was a dream, someone would have to wake me up, right? But I want to be woken up after I see Aramis for the last time; if this was actually a dream. I sat there and played around with my pencil, exactly what I did when I was waiting for my mom at Chinese school after the pinyin competition ended. It seemed like forever until she showed up. I hope the bell doesn't take forever because it's only 6 minutes... I sat there for what seemed like forever when I gave up. What if this was a dream and the bell wasn't supposed to ring?? I guess I'll have to be woken up before I can see Aramis for the last time.
