The Neglecting Alpha

Ch.2

"Like hell I'm just going to leave her here with you..." Blake starts but I cut him off. It's like he has a death wish or something.

"I'll be fine don't worry I'll see you at school tomorrow." I say as I start walking into the big house.

As soon as I'm in the doors Thomas shuts the doors and locks them. He then suddenly looks at me. This is so awkward. My wolf that had stayed pretty much silent until now started getting really excited that we found our mate. Little did she know that this wasn't our ideal fairytale I'd always dreamed about.

"Follow me." He says as he leads me up stair into a guest room.

"You'll sleep here for now." He says as he turns away to walk out.

"Wait." I say not really thinking.

"What is it?" He asks not bothering to turn around.

"Oh right ummm thank you." I say. He doesn't respond he just continues walking as if I said nothing.

He's so confusing! He seems like he doesn't want me here, but if he didn't want me here then why would he make me stay. I lay down on the bed and look at the ceiling. It's times like this I wish I had a smart phone. I've always wanted one but i didn't think it was a necessity especially with the limited budget I had.

I start to feel really hungry I hadn't eaten at all today or yesterday I'm not sure about the day before that. It's not like I was trying not to eat it was just that I was trying to save my money so I figured I would eat one meal a day. However I didn't have time to make food yesterday and I'm all honesty I didn't have food at home anyway.

I would go down and try to make something but that doesn't seem like a good idea. Well what's one more day without food hopefully I can eat tomorrow.

I notice there's another door in my room I open it and find it's a bathroom. Maybe a shower will help.

After I finish my shower I find someone put pjs in my room. There a little big but I'm not complaining at least I don't have to sleep in my clothes.

It's already 11 pm I decide that it's probably best I get some sleep considering I have school tomorrow.

Throughout the whole night I toss and turn unable to really fall asleep until about 4 am. When I wake up I see it's 11:30. Oh no I'm late I must have forgot to set an alarm.

I go to put on my clothes from yesterday but I can't find them. I fall down all of a sudden getting really dizzy. Someone opens my door I don't know who it is. All I know is I felt warm and safe. Then everything went black.

I wake up in the hospital confused about what happened. I look over and see Thomas in the chair by my bed his light brown hair all messy with his blue-green eyes closed. I don't notice it but I'm staring at him in a trance. Suddenly his eyes shoot open and I feel my face heat up as I quickly look away.

"Oh um hi." I say looking down at my hands.

"Oh um hi." He mocks me looking angry for some reason. I have no idea what he's mad about but I have a feeling I'm about to find out.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"What's wrong is you passed out because you haven't been eating. Are you worried about your weight because you're beautiful and don't need to worry about..."

"No no no, I cut him off it's nothing like that." Wait did he call me beautiful that makes my whole body feel warm and I can't help but smile. Wait stop that Cindy I'm still mad at him for making my life miserable remember.

"Then why haven't you been eating?"

"Money's a little short right now so I was just trying to save some by skipping a few meals here and there." I say suddenly really embarrassed about how irresponsible I've been.

"Are your parents having money problems." He asked as though he doesn't believe me. I guess he doesn't know what happened.

"Thomas my parents died in a car accident last year. I've been living off their savings for a while so it's almost gone. I was gonna get a job but I need to finish school first and... oh no school I'm late they're going to make me clean the whole school again and I can't miss anymore days or I'll fall behind plus..."

"Cindy calm down I called the school today and put you on independent study for the time being."

"Oh um ok thanks." I say confused on why he would do that.

"I'm sorry about your parents." He says looking as though he feels guilty. I wonder why I mean it's not his fault they're dead.

"Don't worry about it, it happened a year ago. Plus my parents always taught me to try to stay positive throughout any obstacle I face. Besides I have faith that they're with the moon goddess."

"Sorry to cut this short Alpha but you have a meeting in an hour and you should really get ready." Says a guy who walks in. He has brown eyes and black hair he's also really tan. He's a little shorter then Thomas but he's still tall.

"Thanks Brandon will you walk Cindy back to the pack house please."

"Sure thing." He say and in a flash Thomas is gone.

"Hey I'm Brandon I'm the beta of the pack." Says Brandon as he sits down.

"Oh hi I'm Cindy." I say awkwardly I should really try to be more assertive.

"Well whenever you're ready I'll walk you home." He says.

"Oh right we can go right now if you want I'm fine" I say standing up and suddenly feeling really dizzy. I don't let it show though. I start to walk out when I realize I have an IV in my arm. I sit on the bed and say. "We can go after the doctor takes this out."

"Haha you're pretty funny. No need to rush we don't need to hurry."

After the doctors came in and took out my IV we walk back to the pack house which is only 5 minuets from the hospital. The must have built it close for all the soldiers that get injured during training. When we get inside Brandon excuses himself and I go back up to my room.

I hear really weird noises coming from Thomas's room. At first they were quiet so I don't really think much of it but they get progressively louder and my curiosity gets the better of me. I open up his door just enough so I can see in and I don't like what I see. It's Thomas and some other girl having sex.

I hate him he really doesn't care about me at all. I start crying I don't know why it just feels like he betrayed me or something. That doesn't make sense though I mean I knew he didn't want me to begin with but this really hurt me.

So many thoughts were going through my head that I didn't even notice that they stopped and we're both looking at me until the girl cleared her throat.

"I don't know who you are or why you're watching us but can you leave you're kinda ruining the mood." The girl said with an angry expression on her face.

"Oh right sorry, I just... never mind." I say being at a loss for words.

I don't know what to do all I know is I can't stay here any longer not after seeing that, it broke me. Any hope I had left was gone. My mate didn't want me, my pack all seemed to hate me, and all my family was dead.

I start running I run down the stairs and out of the house. The last thing I hear is "Cindy wait!"  But why should I. He has no right to tell me what to do. He's terrible he's been manipulating my life and making it awful for 2 years without my knowledge.

I run as fast as I can in case theirs anyone chasing me. But there most likely isn't, I mean why would there be I'm obviously not that important. I run in to the woods and it's starts to rain. I keep running for about an hour when I find a cave. I go inside, it's dark scary and cold, but at the moment I feel numb.
