Mike's POV

I did something, something that I shouldn't have done... I like someone, no I love someone. I love someone who might not have the same feelings for me.

Y/n Tozier, I've only known her for a few weeks but the time that I've spent with her has felt like eons. She's the only person that doesn't make me feel like an outsider, well besides the losers club. With all the super natural business though, I haven't been able to see y/n, not because of force, but because I'm scared to. I don't want to put her in danger. That thing can sense our biggest fears and now....

My biggest fear is losing her

Your POV
I heard something beat against my window. My heart rate rose, walking over to my window I hoped that Mike was standing there, on the ground smiling at me. I haven't seen Mike in a while, something happened with the losers club and Richie hasn't gone to see them in some time. He came home one day, pretty pissed at Bill.

I opened my window to see a pebble with a note attached to it. I unraveled the note and read it.

I put on a t-shirt and some jeans and my red sneakers. I ran downstairs and was about to open the door.

"Where are you going?" Richie asked.

"Out with a friend..."

"Which one?"

"(Y/b/f)"

"Oh really? I thought they were out of town for the summer." I turned to face my brother.

"Uhh change in plans?" Richie put his arms across his chest and tapped his foot on the floor.

"It's Mike isn't it, God damnit I told him to stay away from you!" My eyes widened.

"Is that why he's been ignoring me?! Because of you?"

"Wait he's been ignoring you?"

"Yeah, for a few weeks actually, ever since your little group split up!" Richie looked down at the floor. There was a silence.

"Go" He said blankly.

"What?"

"I said go! Go find your Prince Charming or whatever. Just be back by 6." I smiled and brought him into a hug.

"Thanks Rich"

"Don't mention it, now go!" He said smiling. I walked out the door and grabbed my bike. I rode quickly over to Mike's farm.

I climbed the ladder up to the roof. I pulled myself up onto the roof and saw Mike sitting down, looking at the sky.

"Hey stranger" I said. Mike turned his head and smiled. He stood up and I walk over to him. We just stood there for a few moments. Not even a foot apart, just staring at each other.

Mike pulled me into a hug. I buried my face into his chest and held onto his shirt. He held my waist pulling me closer to him. His hand went through my hair in soft strokes. He pulled away to look at my face. He smiled cupping my cheek.

"I'm sorry..." he whispered. He let me go and sat back down with his head in his hands. I sat down next to him and sighed. I looked at the sky and started to feel a bit more relaxed.

"What is this?" I asked breaking the silence.

"What's what?"

"This thing between us."

"I don't know..." There was only silence for a while. We just sat there looking at the sky.

"I know I'm asking a lot of questions but, why did you ignore me for a while?" I looked at Mike who looked like he was holding back tears.

"Leave a girl hanging for a bit and she'll start worrying.." I added.

"I was scared that I'd lose you.." he said in a whisper which I still heard.

"Why would you lose me?" I said turning to him fully.

"I can't tell you..."

"Why can't you tell me? You can trust me!"

"Not with this y/n, I didn't want to lose you so-" I cut him off.

"So you just stopped talking to me for a few weeks? That was your plan?"

"I was trying to protect you!" He said standing up.

"Protect me from what!?!" I yelled standing up to face him.

"From..." He ended his sentence short.

"Unbelievable..." I muttered walking back towards the ladder.

"Y/n"

"What!" I yelled. Mike walked towards me and before I could even blink, he kissed me. I was shocked but before I could pull back my heart took control, I kissed back. My hands fell around his neck, his hands found their way around my waist. I don't know how long the kiss lasted but I know that I wanted to stay this way for eternity.

We pulled back for air and I placed my forehead against his.

"That thing, that god damn clown. We went into neibolt, we fought it and its strong. It could take you from me, I can't let that happen... I wouldn't be able to live with myself if-" I pulled my head away and pecked his lips.

"You, could never lose me. We're in this together, remember? I said smiling. Mike smiled meekly.
