Chapter 5 - On Gifts

Okay so we all have that special someone in our lives who has been there by our sides for as long as we can remember. If not then we at least feel as though we have known them for ever.

A friend of mine from Wattpad has messaged me wanting to know what to get a friend who means a lot to them. It has to be something that is as special as that person becasue my friend is moving away.

Wouldnt it be great to give them something that they could hold and would remind them of your friendship !

Well, socks will not do. We need something that will stand the test of time.

So after much thought (even the idea of buying a star and naming it after you both came to mind)

I decided that we needed to give your friend a gift that shows how much you care about them.

SOOO ! This may take a little bit of time and effort but im sure they will love it, how about :

A memory book. This doesnt have to cost you a lot of money but will be priceless to the person you are going to give it too. Memorys are precious so buy a nice book that will be easy to keep for ever and wont fall apart. Fill it with photos of you both from when you were very young or from when you first met, up untill now. Begin writing next to it a few captions about what was going on in each photo.

Next begin adding things that remind you of each other for example, wrappers of their fave food along side a memory of when you both ate this, it might include a funny story. For example me and a friend of mine went to a well known fast food resturaunt (so stick their logo in the book) and whilst we were there two cute lads walked past whilst we had our faces covered in ketchup ! (Write in the story)

It was a very funny memory !

Over the next few pages add in quirky ideas such as mood boards of things you have both spoke about togeather, maybe you have both dreamed up what you want ot do when your older ect... Or recipies you have both come up with for drinks ect...

Keep adding thoes photos !

And finally THE IMPORTANT PART....

Write them a letter that they can open now.. And another one from you that they can open in ten years time. This means that no matter how far away you are moving and how distant or close your friendship gets, they will always have that letter from you in the future reminding them to get in touch with you ! :D

Its great all my friends have wrote each other letters for the future :)

Last but not least, if you have not moved away by the time you have given them the gift, when you present it to them create a memory whilst handing it to them. For example take them for lunch and hand over your gift. After all its all about memorys here :)
