"It was later she realized, he had come into her life only to end up ruining her..."
Elijah Martin was a mystery, an enigma, somebody no one could ever seem to figure out. Someone so messed up...

THE LAST thing Amber expected while finishing her lunch at her college cafeteria was Elijah Martin's glowing face.
It had been a week since the incident that shall not be named and Amber had nearly gotten over her embarrassment, until of course the moment Elijah Martin decided to grace her lunch hour, everything relapsed.
The funny thing however was the fact that Elijah looked more embarrassed approaching her than she looked herself. He was wearing a grey V-neck sweater with his sleeves folded along with black jeans, his look overall was simple and was completed with his longish wavy hair brushed away from his face. In other words, Elijah Martin looked hot.
Not that Amber would have every admitted to it.
As he approached her table, the confused glances of the other students in the cafeteria starting increasing rapidly. Elijah Martin, the most popular kid in the school was approaching that girl who was always first in class? That was simply unheard of. He probably wanted her to do his homework. That thought, would've also been Amber's idea if Elijah hadn't spoke.
"Okay. Listen here carrot, it has been a hard enough job finding you so don't make this job any tougher. I'm here to invite you to a party, so show the hell up." And with that said Elijah was just about to leave when he got interrupted.
"Um, excuse me? Carrot? Are you fucking kidding me? Just because I have red protein strings I like to call my hair doesn't mean you can just stand there and call me whatever you want. It is just plain rude. I could stand here and call you glitter eating overly glowing boy with brown skin and Cyclops like shining green eyes, but I am not right? That is what you call decency."
By the end of her surprising rant, Amber cheeks were flushed. She normally would've never responded to Elijah's invitation, or order as normal people will call it but the comment about her hair was too much.
Amber Kingston had always been receiving comments about her red hair since kindergarten. People's fascination with it always led them to make comments on it or call her aggressive nicknames, and somewhere along that line, Amber just got way tired.
She was not receiving any comments about her hair, especially not from Elijah Martin.
It turned out that Amber wasn't the only one who was surprised from her outburst. Elijah was also there with his mouth hung wide open looking as if he had seen a ghost. Amber made a mental note to treat herself later as she had just made the great Elijah Martin look like the stupid one, rather than it being the other way around.
That sense of pride, however didn't last very long as Elijah, came back to his normal state nearly seconds after the shock, "Feisty, I like it. Show up at eight, at Bodhi's house, even social outcasts must know where that is."
And as he turned to leave, he turned around and shot Amber his infamous smirk, "Carrot."
"Omfg, did Elijah Martin just invite you to a party? Oh my God! Amber you have to go! Let's get you shopping after which we can have lunch at King's Diner and-"
"Nice try, Naomi but it is not happening. Fuck! Did you even see how he just acted, calling me a carrot? I'm just so beyond tired of this shit." Amber unleashed upon her best friend.
"Simple then, just dye your hair" Naomi shrugged as if it was no big deal.
"If it were only that easy."
"It is. Dye your hair and then we can go to the party!" Naomi nearly screamt.
Amber didn't even bother answering that, she honestly didn't like anyone in her college but only chose to hang around them because she had to have at least some friends.
"Fine then, we can go to the party." Amber replied against her will.
"Great! You can have Bodhi and I'll have Elijah!"
Amber had no heart to tell her friend that popular boys like Bodhi and Elijah wouldn't even be remotely interested in nerds like Amber and Naomi, but she chose to keep her silence.
"Whatever man, let's go."
