Her name was Choi Mina.

She was his junior editor.

She was 23 years old.

She was mesmerizing.

Jung Hoseok could have sworn that he had fallen in love at first sight. After all, there was only so much that he could have said when a petite box of magazines with the most beautiful legs he had ever seen had walked towards him almost two years ago. Curious, he had only been able to stand in its way to get a good look at its owner.

Look, he had.

Fall, he most definitely had.

So much so, that the whisper of a smile on his lips was undeniable as he poured himself yet another cup of coffee. His ears slowly tuning back in to the chaos surrounding him as endless chatter coursed from one end of the room to the other. Cup in hand, he carefully turned to take in his superiors' disgruntled expressions and the rest of the team's never-ending curses.

"What are we supposed to do?" Yumi sighed as she walked over to him.

"What do you mean, 'what are we supposed to do'?" Jia shrugged as she took Hoseok's cup from his hands. "We get back to work, that's all there is to it."

"How can that be all?" Yumi scoffed.

"What more should it be?"

Yumi stared at him.

Jia blinked.

However, Hoseok was already making his way out of the room with his coffee safely back in his hands. He took a long swig as he carefully made his way through more complaints and uncertainty. Humming to himself, he ignored them all as he reached his office door.

Only for his fingers to still against his doorknob.

His gaze lingering on a special desk.

For a split second.

Only a second.

Soon, the sound of his ringtone drowned out the sound of his closing door. Still humming to himself, he easily slipped out of his pocket before looking down at his screen. A bright smile immediately found his lips as he brought his phone to his ear, "I thought that I'd never hear from you again."

A husky chuckle filled his ear as he leaned back against his desk.

It seemed that his best friend was in a wonderful mood.

Almost as wonderful as his own.

"Before you nag at me some more," Namjoon started.

"At least give me the chance to think of nagging," Hoseok lightly scoffed.

"Before you even try to nag," Namjoon chuckled. "I only slept out, out of consideration for you and your date."

"Wasn't your date insulted that you thought of your best friend first on Valentine's day?" Hoseok teased.

"She wouldn't have been my girlfriend, let alone my date, if she came between our friendship."

Jung Hoseok, the sunshine.

Kim Namjoon, the charmer.

A sucker punch to each of their respective cheeks had been the beautiful beginning to their inseparable bond. Reduced to nothing but heartbroken messes, Namjoon and Hoseok had only been able to watch as the most beautiful girl in their year had chosen an upperclassman over them. After all, though sloppy, their sorry excuses for punches had rendered them, the most handsome boys of their years, hideous.
