Kanan looks at Ahsoka. Suddenly, Maul turns around to kill the Jedi but.....out of no where jumps Ezra. "Noo, Kanan" The young Jedi yelled. Mauls red blade hits the young teen on the face. "EZRA..." Kanan yells.
Ezra falls to the ground, his hand over his eyes. "Kanan, it hurts" said the young teen. Kanan pat's the boys back. He then confronts Maul. "I'll make this quick" said the sith. "You had your chance" Kanan said. Kanan was raging. Maul attacked Kanan. The two battled until Kanan, force pushed Maul of the edge of the temple.
He ran over to his padawan, who still had his hands over his eyes. Ahsoka, who was kneeling beside the boy, looked up at Kanan, her eyes full of worry. Kanan didn't understand..
"Ezra, take your hand away, lemme see. I wont touch it" Kanan said. Ezra slowly took away his hand to reveal a huge gash across his face. His once bright, sapphire blue eyes were a pale grey colour.
Kanan gasped. "Kanan, I can't see anything" Ezra said as he began crying. Kanan had been having nightmares about this for weeks. He knew it was a bad idea to bring Ezra with them, but Ezra was quite stubborn.
Kanan held his padawan to his chest, running his fingers through his hair. Ezra sobbed quietly to his master. Suddenly, a tie flew over. Kanan felt a dark prescene in the force. Ahsoka looked over to the two. "We should probably be going..." She said to the two. "Right, yeah" said Kanan.
He helped Ezra up and held his shoulder and his chest to help his young padawan. Ezra was still sobbing quietly to himself. When they reached the top of the temple, they saw chopper in the phantom.
"Were nearly there, Ezra just a few more steps..." Kanan said, but suddenly everything went cold. The sith lord had arrived. "Ashoka, come on..." Kanan urged. "Ahsoka sighed as she pushed the two behind the closing temple, while Kanan looked at her in shock.
"Ahsoka, come on, we can still....." "I must do this, Kanan. This has been a long time coming.." Ahsoka said. Kanan nodded. He understood. As much as he didn't want to leave her there, he knew she must do what she has to do.
Kanan helped Ezra into the phantom. "Wait, Kanan. We can't leave her here!" the young boy said. "Ezra, Ahsoka must do what she has to do." Kanan said. He wanted her to come back just as much as Ezra did.
Chopper then lifted off, and they were gone. Ezra began crying into Kanans chest again. "It's okay, Ezra. It's over now" Kanan said, as he hugged the young teen.
