The girl ran across the dark Alleyways that midnight. The rain slowed her down as her feet began to tire. Her breaths were visible along the darkness. She took a short stop but began to start running faster as a voice hissed her name.

"Amelie..." it called.

She wimpered and came near a streetlight. It flickered as she halted near it. Then it turned off. Every other light turned off after it. She let out a shocked scream when this occured.

"Amelie," it hissed again. She turned towards the direction of the sound but there was nothing. She turned back and still saw nothing. She took a few steps back and her back touched the streetlight. It started to flicker again. Her breathing grew fast and heavy. She began to see the shapes shift due to her light headedness.

"Amelie..." it repeated.

The voice was monstrous. Soft and slow, almost like it was a voice from the dead.

"I know what you did Amelie...." it said with a fierce chuckle.

The girl stumbled forward as the light from the streetlight shattered.

"Stop please! I don't know what you're talking about!" she screamed out.

A low laugh could be heard as all the streetlights came on again. She saw a figure in the distance. The lights turned off and it was no longer visible. A few seconds later, the lights turned on again but this time, the figure was right in front of her. She let out a high pitched scream but the figure's laugh blocked out much of her screaming. The lights flickered one last time and all that could be seen was the girl, bleeding, on the floor and a letter painted next to her in blood.

"That's another one cheif. Another one found dead," said the police officer as he approached the scene.

"Is there any evidence of the killer?" asked the cheif from the other side of the speaker.

"Like all the rest, there is only one letter. This time it's the letter H." said the officer.

"F.. E... H.. why these letters?" asked the cheif as he was in thought.

"You don't think... there are going to be more right? I mean then maybe the letters will make sense," suggested the officer.

The cheif was silent but then responded, "We'll discuss that later. Clear up the scene Jarred. And pray there be no more."

The officer put away his speaker and aproached the yellow tape that read, Crime Scene. He sighed as he looked at the girl laying on the floor. But soon, a question companied him. Who was the girl?

He neared her, ducking under the tape. On her neck was a necklace that seemed to have a name written on it.

"Amelie.." he repeated the name. He seemed to remember the name from somewhere but couldn't exactly remember where.

His hand traced her necklace. There was a single stone in the middle. He touched it but immediatly shot backwards. The stone was deadly cold and had a possesive aura. Jarred took the necklace off the girl quickly and put it into a sample bag.

"Take this to the lab for investigation." The authority nodded and walked off. Jarred calmed down and looked at the girl again. It had only been one night and her eyes had already began to darken. Her face had a tint of blue and made the chills go down his spine. He looked at her hands and his eyes widened. She was holding something. A tuft of hair it seemed like. It was a shade of red although he didn't think it was the actual color. He grabbed the hair and put it into another sample bag and the authorities took that in as well. Jarred shook his head in thought as he got back up. He remembered back to the two other deaths, one of a young man and the other of another young lady. They all seemed to be teenagers but Jarred couldn't put together the similarities. The three letters, FEH took a quick turn in his head. What could those mean? Why those letters? He was annoyed of all the mystery.

"Um Jarred can I speak to you for a moment please," Asked his partner as he took the hat off his head to reveal jet black hair.
"Yes Tony go ahead, amuse me" Jarred replied.
"You see... isn't it strange that of all the deaths we have had so far in the year, these three are the only three to be alone. Like none of their family or friends came by to see what had happened and no one seemed to even notice their deaths." Tony pointed out.

Jarred thought about this of a while before replying "hm.. that's right. But why...? Tony I found a stone on a necklace and a tuft of hair from this victim. Run it into the lab right now for me. These murder cases are actually getting to me. And there is something about that stone in the necklace that sent the chills right through me... be careful with that please. And hurry."

Tony nodded and went towards his car. Jarred watched him drive off as he turned back to the girl. The sight of Amelie made his expression soften.
"What luck these three had... what luck. Being killed without notice and care. And not even able to have trust that people can find the murderer.." Jarred shook his head and lowered his gaze to the floor.

The sky darkened and began to rain as the authorities loaded Amelie into the ambulance. Jarred watched this all happen in grief. The questions still buzzed in his head as he got a call. The caller ID read unknown.

"Hello" he said cautiously.
No one responded.
"Hello..?!" He said again.
This time, the words he had heard made all the hairs on the back of his head stand. His eyes were wide as he cut the line and quickly drove off to tell the Police chief what had happened. The rain continued to pour...
