The shock on the authorities faces were unimaginable. The body lay in front of them, the head of the body completely detached. But that was the least of the horror that they saw in the scene. The worst above all was that the victim was a little girl.

"Alles, was ich getan habe war für  eine sekunde drehen und das ist passiert!" cried a woman that the authorities thought was the little firl's mother. (Translation: All I did was turn for a second and this happened!)

Jarred looked confused as he looked around the busy street which was now crowded with people who surrounded the scene.

"None of you saw who did this?" he asked as no one responded just yet.

"All I saw was the woman turn for a few seconds and a shadow like creature flash by and the next thing I see is the little girl on the floor and the woman screaming." said a man in the crowd.

"A shadow like creature?" Jarred asked in question if he could een believe those words. He gave it more thought and found himself going towards those words. Anything was possible at this point. He turned his attention to the woman.

"Bist du ihre mutter?" he asked figuring that she only knew german. (Translation: Are you her mother?)

The woman shook her head.

"Ich kam gerade vorbei und sah sie allein und wollte fragen, ob sie verloren war. Aber dann rief meine Tochter mich an, also drehte ich mich um. Und als ich zurückkehrte ..." Siad the woman. (Translation: I was just passing by and saw her alone and wanted to ask if she was lost. But then my daughter called me so I turned. And when I turned back...)

Tony and Jarred exchanged glances again.

"Not one of them had anyone close to them when they died" Tony whispered to Jarred. Jarred nodded in wonder of the situation.

"L.." he whispered as he found a letter on the girl's arm.

"F E H L" he repeated.
"Sounds like Fehler..." Tony added. (Translation: Mistakes)

Jarred nodded. "If that's the case tony.. two more people will die after this,"

Their expressions were grave as they sat at the office.

"Chief.. I think it's safe for me to yet again suggest sending this case over to Poland." Jarred said.

The chief was silent but nodded.

"Call you're nephew.. and tell em' tell em' he's got something big headed his way and tell em' that only lord can help him help us with it." Jarred nodded at the words.

"Just gotta figure some things out with him first. And get some word on my daughter while I'm at that." Jarred added.

"Hope they been treatin' er' well" said the chief, "Poland has some strict regulations."
Jarred nodded and departed from the office.

As he walked down the hall, he thought of what the man in the crowd had said along with the girl that died. The word Fehler, mistakes, spun in his head. The call that the dead girl had left him and what she meant. He thought about the death of his wife and how all the cases related in some way or another. What had his nephew had to do with this? Why did the thing that killed his wife, kill his wife when the daughter had also seen it first? Why had it been that the girl died right in front of the woman in just a few seconds notice? Why those letters? And why that word?

The questions kept his alert at all times now it seemed.

He reached his office and took out his phone as soon as he went in. He brought up his nephews number. They hadn't talked in 5 months and he didn't know what to start it off as. He called and waited as the phone rang on the other end.

*Phone beeping and voice starts to speak*

"Unvle Jarred?" said a voice from the other end of the line. It was deep but calming and kind.

"Nephew," Jarred addressed.

"Uncle it's been a while. You finally decided to give you're nephew a call ha? You know you should call more often. Who knows what will happen to me in this police force. People dying here and there latley." said the nephew.

This caught Jarred's attention.

"Wait.. people dying? Do me a favor and answer this question for me mark. Do these deaths have letters printed next to each one?" Jarred questioned.

Mark took some time to respond. The tone of his voice changed to a tone of alarm as to how his uncle knew that.

"Yes... how did you know?" Mark asked.

"Been going on here too. Mind telling me what those letters are?" Jarred asked.

Mark took a while before replying.

"Yeah er.. M ü S and S so far.  Umm.. we reckon the letters form into words and we found the word seeming to be the word 'Müssen'. A german word.  Funny however.. the victims of each murder were all german." replied Mark.

Jarred sat silently for a while before asking more questions.

"Ok Mark well we were thinking to bring the case over to Poland for a bit more help and it seems perfect since you guys have another piece i'd like to call it, of this puzzel.. this murder mystery," Jarred said.

"Those are the smartest words you've ever said Uncle Jarred," Mark pressed on jokingly.

Jarred laughed, a laughed he hadn't laughed for, for a very long time.

"And before I put my phone down about it's own business, how is Alice?" he asked addressing his daughter.

"She's been fine. Charm worker I must say. Crime solving seemed to be the best she could do," Mark said with impress in his tone.

Jarred chuckled and nodded to himself, "Runs in the family mark. Runs in the family."

"That's the thing dear uncle.. don't mind my joke, no one in the family runs," they both broke into a laugh.

"Yes nephew. Of course." Tony arrived in the doorway.

"Duty calls, I'll call you back about further details of the partnership later," he concluded.

"No problem uncle," they ended the call.

Tony smiled as they both went back to the office of the cheif to settle the partnership with poland.
