Everyone was a couple. Alex and Eliza. Peggy and John. Theodosia and Burr. James (Madison not Reynolds) and Maria. The only girl that did not have a boyfriend was Angelica. She was really upset about this because she wanted Alex but she didn't want to break Eliza's heart. When Angelica got to art class all Maria talked about is how James and he loved each other and how he is going to get her a yellow Labrador. Angelica tried not to show she was upset she didn't have a boyfriend but at lunch she couldn't help it. While Maria was talking about James and her, Angelica broke down in tears. "What's wrong Angelica," Maria asked.
"I want Alex to be mine," Angelica cried.
"Why don't you just ask Eliza. She'll let you have him," Maria stated.
Angelica took a deep breath. "I know my sister like I know my own mind he will never find anyone as trusting or kind. If I tell her that I love him she'd be silently resigned. He'd be mine. She would say I'm fine. She'd be lying," said Angelica as she cried
"That's intense," Maria thoughtfully said. After the dismissal bell had rung, Alex made an announcement.
"Party at the Schuyler Mansion tonight for my awesome girlfriend Eliza. It starts at 7:00." Alex said. Eliza blushed. Angelica thought, could my life get any worse and of course, Eliza is having it at our father's house! Maria put an arm around the crying Angelica.
