Today was the day they were choosing ice dance teams. Of course, the teams were Alex & Eliza, Peggy & John, Maria & James, and Aaron & Theo. That left Angelica and Lafayette (Laf). With an annoyed face, she started working on lifts with Laf. They worked for a couple of hours and then skated off the ice. Everyone but Angelica was excited and hugging each other.
~Angelica POV~
What?! How can everyone be so excited! Everyone is already talking about song choices! I mean it's not that I don't like Laf but he was definately not my first choice. Alex was. While I was unlacing my skates, Laf sat next to me with a nervous smile. I gazed at him confused. He was sweating an awful lot.
"*cough* *cough* Hey An-gel-ica, want to go to the Bamboo Bistro tonight together?" Laf asked fast and awkwardly.
"Sure," I replied lamely. He seemed kind of sad when he walked away. Suddenly I came to the realization that he was trying to ask me out! I mean Laf is cool and all but I'm not into him. Also, why is he taking me to a fancy restaurant? Just because I'm a Schuyler Sister doesn't mean I just eat fancy food! I love burgers and fries best of all! Ugh!
