{Author's Note: Hi everybody!! Sorry this is so late, I've been having some problems with Wattpad lately, plus I was traveling.}

-Shadow's POV-

The weekend is completely uneventful; on Sunday we move all our rubbish back into our dorm room, and on Monday—today!—we learned we didn't fail our midterms. Nothing happened in my classes today other than reviewing what we did on the midterm exams, which I really couldn't care less about. A majority of my day was spent gazing off into space, or doodling in my notebooks, but thankfully, the day is over now, and I have no obligations.

I yawn sleepily, stretching a little bit, and Scourge lets out a soft noise of complaint as my elbow bumps into his chest. The two of us are lying sprawled on my bed, nestled under both of our covers, lights off (even though it isn't technically time for that yet), snuggled up against each other. Evening light slants in through the window, casting a hazy orange-ish glow to the room, and Scourge's arm is stuck beneath me. I roll onto my side, giving his chest a little apology-kiss, and he purrs, scratching my back with the hand under me. I relax, closing my eyes again, feeling oddly sleepy. I haven't had a ton of energy lately, sure, but that might just be because we sorta fucked up our sleep schedules during the break, plus we barely ate anything. In that sense, school is almost a welcome thing—guaranteed semi-edible food and a schedule to adhere to. Waking up so early this morning kicked my ass, sure, but I know in a couple days, it'll be back to just being annoying. Speaking of what happened over break, the lightest of my scratches have healed up entirely, but the deepest aren't quite okay yet. They don't hurt anymore, as long as I don't mess with them, and I'm kinda surprised by how fast I healed up. I mean, it's great and all—I really don't want to be reminded of the stupid shit I did—but I'm surprised nonetheless.

Scourge hums, drawing my attention; I lift an ear, but don't open my eyes. "D'you wanna skip out halfway tomorrow?" He asks suddenly, and I jolt a little in surprise.

Pulling away from his chest, I give him a surprised look. "Why?"

He shrugs. "Why not? We don't have to leave campus, just wander around. They likely won't catch us if we stick around."

I mull it over. I couldn't care less about any of my classes anymore, so, well, I guess the question truly is 'why not?' I yawn. "Sure. Text me when you wanna leave class."

"Really?" He sounds excited. "You really wanna skip class tomorrow?"

"I wouldn't say yes if I didn't," I reply, amused.

He squeezes me closer to him, and I laugh shortly. "Today was rough," he admits, "it's wild, I guess I got so used to spending all day with you..." Scourge sighs sleepily. "I missed you a lot today."

I can feel my face turning red, and I grin, nuzzling his chest. "I missed you too, sweetheart," I mumble, gently rubbing his back. He starts to purr as I trace my fingers between his back-spines, and I close my eyes again, suddenly exhausted. "I love you."

"I love you too," he nuzzles my forehead, then yawns. "Oof, I'm fuckin' dyin'..."

"Me too," I reply, letting go of him briefly to pull the covers up over the both of us more. "Let's just go to bed now."

He shifts position, letting go of me to maneuver himself down to the same level as me. "No complaints here," my boyfriend murmurs sleepily, and his arms wrap around me again. I give him a bunny-kiss, and he giggles a little, blushing lightly. He's so goddamned adorable, I think to myself, leaning forward to kiss his forehead. He closes his eyes, purring, and I gently run my fingers through his quills, feeling him relax under my hand. In no time at all, he's snoring sweetly, ear flicking every now and then.
