Preface/Author's Note

«Hello, everyone! Author's Notes aren't things I do very often, so bear with me...

Before we begin, there's a few things you ought to know about this book! First of all, yes, both Scourge and Shadow are very well aware of their own orientations. This story will NOT be one of those "ohh, am I gay? I don't know, I've never been gay before, uwaaaaah~" books. Absolutely not. As a queer person I can tell you that is definitely not how it goes in real life, heh. In fact, I'll list what the characters are and are not aware of right now.

Shadow:
-Fully aware of his bisexuality, and is unbothered by the stereotypes associated with it; comfortable.
-Fully aware he should probably tell someone, but hasn't found a proper moment to
-Has no clue what Scourge's orientation is

Scourge:
-Painfully aware of his pansexuality, doesn't act on any attraction he experiences towards anyone who's not a girl; uncomfortable.
-Wants someone to talk to about these sorts of things but is way too closed-off about it to to even try
-Doesn't care what Shadow's orientation is (as he says)

So, there you have it.

Moving on to the next order of business: Don't be afraid to comment!! Or leave votes!! You can even tell me if you thought something was bad, if you don't like the direction I'm going in, WHATEVER. If you want to talk privately, message me!! And feel free to nag me for updates if you're really enjoying this.

Although, I'd appreciate it if you don't just comment something silly like  1)"I hate this ship" or 2) "This pairing doesn't make any sense, they've hardly interacted in canon, seriously Rache what even are you doing" because that'll earn you silly answers like 1) "Well nobody's holding a gun to your head and forcing you to read it" or 2) "God I don't even know why I'm shipping it but I fxcking love it so I guess that this is what's become of my life."

Also! In this fic, Scourge is part of a gang, but I don't really have any members solidified SO! Does anyone out there have any Sonic OCs they'd like to be in this story? Don't be shy! So long as you can describe them well, thoroughly, and/or even send me an image (private message me to work that out, please) I'll put them in!

Lastly, but maybe most importantly, I don't know as of right now (writing this, February 12th of 2016, now) if there'll be any content in this fic that'll lead the "fluff only" sticker to be peeled off, but I honestly don't think I have the capacity to write X-Rated scenes. If you want that to happen in this book, well, I most likely won't write out the deed itself, but I'll probably be able to write the scenes prior to and right after the "deed." Why do I keep calling it a "deed"? Because I make no sense. I'm going to edit this to hell and back tomorrow-or maybe I won't, maybe it'll be just some huge cosmic joke.

Jesus, where was I? Right, the rating. I swear like a goddamned sailor, really I do, and I chose the two characters who actually swear in canon (unless you count Sonic X subs, I suppose, but then they're the ones who swear most often) so that's probably gonna give this a PG-13 rating at least. I forget how many times you're allowed to drop "the f-bomb" in a PG-13 movie but I think it's only one time. Knowing me I'll break that rule buuuut whatever anyWAYS I've rambled on way too long and I know y'all are just scrolling through like "yeesh, does this person ever shut up?" so without any further ado, let's get this gay-ass show on the road.»
