taeyong looked into his bag and his heart almost stopped.

the book. where was his book. that book with all of his confession letters to kim. the embarrassing feelings he spilled onto the pages of the book were now left in the hands of a stranger.

or worse.

her hands.

but they would return it! his name was on it- but if kim found it, she would also know the truth!

but she might not even speak english!

taeyong retraced his steps.

he knew he had left it at the café. the boy ran out of his house and down the street to the store. it was just closing.

through the window he could see kim and his friends cleaning tables and beginning to stack chairs.

he burst through the door, breathless from running.

kim asked if he was okay and ten ran to get him a water.

"have you seen my book?" taeyong tried to sound as calm as possible but failed miserably.

"oh! yeah, i picked it up after you left. your name was on one of the pages." kim said going behind the counter to pick up his book.

she held it out to him and taeyong sighed in relief. his breath caught as he thought of the worse.

"did you happen to... read anything?"

"i... uh, couldn't." kim mumbled shyly.

taeyong thanked the heavens and kim for giving him his book back.

from now on he knew he had to be a little more careful.
