Chapter 1

The chilling air felt just so good on my metal frame. I've spent so long inside that castle of boredom where every Cybertronian tries to be more annoying than then the other. Really, the Council was FILLED with complete idiots... well most of them anyway... *Sigh* Let's just hope Carrier doesn't bring me here for more tor... TRAINING, yeah training. Hmmm. I REALLY hope she didn't hear that, my telepathy isn't as strong as hers so I can't sense her as easily as she can me. WAIT WHY IS-

"SOUNDWAVE!!!!!!!!!!"

My optics flew open in shock but the rest of my body didn't react. Seems like I fell asleep during work hours!!!!!!!! AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Urgh, how come nobody else does any actual work around here?

"SOUNDWAVE!!!!!!!! Did you really fall asleep again? You do know you should get more rest. I'm starting to worry about you."

Raising my head slowly in response to my adopted sister, Lazerbeak as she started mentally shouting at me to go get some sleep at our designated quarters.

I replied through our mental link, "Sorry lil' sis' but you just interrupted one of the few dreams I've had that was NOT a nightmare."

"Geez big bro' just take a break and reassign the slackers jobs to them and... what exactly did you dream about that's more important than whatever the heck we're doing?"

I chortled, "I dreamed about the good days I was back on Cybertron."

Finally she shut herself up, knowing just how rare these dreams were and how important they were to me.

"Sorry."

I mentally sighed.

"Don't worry Lazerbeak, I also finished all the work for this week. Hopefully Starscream doesn't mess around again."

Lazerbeak was just about to say something when...

"Soundwave are you paying attention to the meeting?"

... A loud voice jolted me from my conversation and sear. Luckily nobody noticed.

Looking up at Lord Megatron and thought, 'just fake it till you make it' and nobody has to know. I nodded in response.

Mentally sighing and deciding to use Starscream's voice."

I couldn't help but say...

"Yes my liege."

"Good so I expect to hear from you soon about that mission I assigned you."

I chastised myself. REALLY, I just HAD to fall asleep during a really boring and meaningless meeting? Yes, I just did. Well, better check the security cameras soon and find out what I missed in the meeting...

Which reminds me, I better go snatch one of Knockout's human horror movies...
