It was about 6:30 pm when we decided to go home. It was a long but good day, I was tired so Zach drove us home. When we reached the apartment, I went straight to my room and Zach went to his. I took a quick shower, dried my hair and laid down with my phone and Laptop. A few minutes later my phone rang and I looked at the caller, My best friend.
Jessica- Italics/bold Lauren-Normal
"Why were you not at school?!"
"Umm I did not feel good"
"No need to lie, I know you were with Zach, I think"
"How-
"Both of you weren't at school and saw Ryan saw you guys are the park"
"Was he with Keanna?"
"Yeah"
"Wait did they ditch?!"
"no, no. You're sister is not like you, That was after school."
"Excuseee meeee?"
"Love you too, by the way, I took notes for you. Bye!"
"Wai-
Before I could finish my sentence, she dropped the call. I sighed and went to Zachary's room. I knocked and and I heard him say 'come in', So I opened the door and went inside. I went to his sofa and st down."
"Are you not tired yet?" Zach asked under his blanket
"I am, but I don't want to sleep yet" I said, not laying down on the sofa
"Why?" Zach asked
"I don't know. I'm tired but not sleepy yet"
"oh Okay"
"Why are you under your blanket? What are you doing?" His heap popped up from the blanket and he looked at me
"I'm not wearing a shirt" He said and took out his phone
"They why did you put you head under there?" I said standing up, walking to his closet. I took a gray Nike shirt and threw it at him
"I don't know." He saw the shirt and wore it "Thanks" I sat back down and my mind thought of something.
I noticed something in the way he talks. He wasn't happy but I figured he was just tired.I mean, usually he's still happy when he's tired. I guess I'll let him be and go.
"umm, I'll go to my room now Zach, Goodnight" I stood up and walked out the door
"Night" Zach said, without lifting up his head and he said it like he was annoyed
"Sorry" I whispered so he couldn't hear me. I closed his door and walked up to mine.
I didn't know what's up with him, but maybe he's just really tired today and He'll be back again tomorrow. I hope. I went in my room and laid down. After a few minutes I fell asleep.
Next morning~
I woke up the next morning not ready to go back to school. I forced my self to get up and do my morning routine. I changed into black legging and a white turtleneck crop top and added a long grey cardigan. I put socks on and got my grey Nike shoes. I took my phone and head out the door. I went to the kitchen and ate breakfast. While I was eating, Zach came to the kitchen on his phone.
"Good morning Zach" I said finishing up my food
"morning" He still sounds annoyed
"Is anything wrong?" I asked washing my plate
"No i'll be going now" HE said and walked away
"Don't you wanna go to-" Before I can continue, He slammed the door
What is up with him? I went to school thinking about what have happened to him.
At School~
I parked my car and went in the school. I saw Jessica standing in front of the building. I went to her and saw she was holding papers.
"Hey Laur!" She greeted me with a hug, holding the papers in one hand
"Hi Jess" I hugged her back
"These are the paper we have to study for next weeks test" she said the me the paper
"We have a test next week!?" I asked. More like yelled.
"Yes" She smiled
"Thanks for this Jess" I said and walked in the school building while shoving the papers to my bag. Jess saw her boyfriend and went to him
"See you at class Lauren!" She yell and I waved bye to her
I walked down the hall and saw Zach's back turned. i was about to run to him when I saw Alyson hugged him. And he hugged back. My heart stopped for a a second and I stood there looking at them. Then I heard someone calling my name. I turned around and saw Ryan.
"Hey Lauren, are you okay?" HE asked looking concerned
"Yeah why?" I asked
"You were standing there for shocked or something. Is anything wrong?"
"Oh No, No nothing's wrong. How are you And my sister?" I said Hoping to changed the subject
"Okay and we're good she went to class already"
"Isn't it too early for class?" I said looking at the time
"We have exam next week remember? She went went with Ysabella and Audrie to study"
"Oh yeah" Every time there are exams at school, Keanna would always study week before the test.
"Well see you later Lauren, I'll be going now" He said and walked away and I just waved.
I looked back at Zach and Alyson, now they were holding hands. Zach has a smile on his face. He's a liar. He told me he likes me and would change for me but I'm so stupid to believe that. I feel betrayed and hurt. I felt and a tear ran down my cheek and I quickly wiped it off but more keeps coming down. I stopped my self from crying and walked to the bathrooms.
