The screams from us both subsided once the thunder clashed.
"I am so sorry," I say trying to apologize to the poor girl I scared.
"No, I am. I shouldn't have knocked then." The person says. I see that she is a tall girl with blonde hair.
"Your fine. I shouln't have screamed. Do you wanna come in?"
"Sure," she walks in and I get a better look at her. She's taller than me, not that hard to be though. She has grren eyes and a thin physice. She was really pretty.
"So what made you walk out of your apartment and up to mine?" I ask once she sat down on my couch.
"My roommate is out of town for the month visiting family and I hate storms. I usually climb into her bed; however she's not here so I thought I would meet my new neighbor." She had this air about that seem freindly.
"Yeah I wake my brothers up and make them get in my room." I smile and she does the same.
"Sorry, I didn't introduce myself. I'm Dakota." She reaches out her hand and I take it.
"Kaira," I get up and make some hot cocoa. I make it when I'm scared.
"Sorry to bother you like this, I know you just moved in."
"It's fine. I am actually glad you did, I would have called my boyfriend to come. I would much rather have someone who shares my fear here." I smile and hand her a mug when it's hot.
She says thanks and I begin to study her. I know that sounds really weird, but let's remember that I am an assassin here. She is quite pretty and I am honestly intimidated by her.
"So you have a boyfriend already and you just moved in like two days agao? That's impressive." She laughs and I do the same.
"Yeah, he's a great guy."
"I bet I saw him in the elevator.He's hot." I laugh at how direct she was. I like this girl. There wasn't even time to continue my studing cause the lightning flashed and we grabbed each other.
We backed away after the thunder clashed.
"Sorry for that," I apologize and she does the same.
"You know what, I am so glad that you came over. I mean I now have a girlfriend in town." I smile after she says thanks.
"You seem pretty nice so I think this could be a good relationship." She was perky until the flash happened again. With that flash the thunder was imidiate after and threw me into a flashback of when I was in Sarajeavo.
******FLASHBACK*****
I walk into a crouded restaraunt. I am 16 and under a facade of a waitress. I take the order of my target, when I turn around he slaps my ass. I take a deep breath and get his order into the kitchen. When the food comes out I break a ricin pill over the food.
I walk away when I know I am in the clear. I headtowards the door when I see a shiny object come under the front dood. I jump when I recognize what it is. Flashbang grenade. I jump but it's too late. I get caught up in the flash.

Ever since that day I don't know who threw it but they took the body of my mark. Also I hate lightning cause it throws me back to that day. I think that I am too close to the flashbang.
"You ok?" Dakota asks, obviously I zoned out.
"Oh yeah the lightning reminded me of something." Truth.
