Tiana's povI've been sick every morning now for 3 days. I honestly am not sure why. I couldn't be - no. It is so hard to help the others while this is happening.
No one is home I am all alone. Though that scares me a bit, I know what to do when and if something happens. There is a hatch in the bathtub leading to a underground safe room. It was there when we moved in. I guess it's more likely to never be found than one where you'd expect it to be.
I decided while having nothing to do, to take a pregnancy test for in case. I do not wish for a baby to be born into a world like this. But if that was the case well I will do whatever I can to prevent it.
And before I could think anymore about it, the test was positive and I couldn't help but cry. No, I wasn't happy because even if this baby could grow up it will always be a matter of time before we all die of old age and there is a wrisk of being turned every second of every day. I would rather die now than suffer losing a person I brought into the world. I would never be able to live with myself.
A few hours later I heard a noise down stairs. I knew exactly what it was. My heart started beating really fast and my hands were instantly sweaty. I was scared, scared to lose Matt and all our friends but way more scared of them losing me. I threw the test on the bed and ran to the bathroom but I tripped and fell down the stairs right next to it. They were standing right above me. I swung around and kicked one of them away for a slight chance to get to safety. I sprung up and ran up the stairs. When I reached the bathroom door my hand slipped on the handle and it cut me, deep. I had no time to do anything about that I attempted to crawl to the bathtub but one was right behind me. I curled up against the tub with tears running down my face. This was it I had to try to get into the bathtub slowly. It looked at me strangely. To think that was once an ordinary person.
I stood up slowly trembling from head to toe. One leg in and then the other, I bent down to open the hatch of the safe room and then it stepped closer and I froze. My feet slipped from underneath me and I hit my head on the edge of the bathtub but before I could recover it charged sinking its teeth into the side of my neck. I bled out in a matter of seconds not being able to breathe.
Not really the way I was hoping to die.
"I love you Matt." Were my last words I wish he was there to hear me say it ... one last time.
