"I like the freaky, just like Monse",I hear as I walk up the street,
I look up to see Ruby in a pink dress,
I laugh at the sight .
"What are you talking about?",Monse asks,
"Leave it Jasmine",I say leaning on the fence,
"You ain't gotta be shy with me girl",Jasmine says completely ignoring my words,
"I know you and Cesar be gettin' it in",She says making me sigh,
"And now I'm gonna kick his ass",I look up to see Monse jumping down the steps and ruby shouting for her in his dress.
I try to reason with her the whole way but the second she sees Cesar she goes off.
"You little bitch!",She pushed him,
A few seconds later she gets pulled off ,
I watch the scene unfold not knowing what to do.
"I don't need you, any of you. I was just trying to keep our crew together",She shouts at Ruby and Jamal,
"Your all dead to me",She snaps before leaving,
I follow her down the street,
"Monse!",I shout as I run after her but she disappears behind a corner.
"Shit",I mutter.

Three days later

"No fighting, no drugs, no bullshit",My oldest brother snapped,
"Okay,Okay",I roll my eyes and grab my bag,
"I swear to god if anyone calls about yo-",He snapped,
"I'm not gonna do anything stupid now move",I push him out of the way and put the door I go.

I stroll down the streets waiting for something to happen,
It's too quiet.
Might be the fact that everyone's starting school,
Or maybe everyone's getting pistol whooped.

I walked into the school,
Which I was already late for because my brother and his rules.
I got my schedule and walked into the class.
"Excuse me",The teacher says getting my attention,
"Yeah?",I ask sitting in an empty seat,
"Your late",She snaps,
"I know that",I take out my books,
She just sighs and gives up.

Wow.
This years gonna be just great.

"We just need more time to let our ideas marinate before we take action",I listen to Ruby explain how to get Cesar out of the gang.
"Marinate?No.We need to cook now",Monse snaps,
"She's right",I agree,
"The longer we wait the more he's in",I continued,

"We gotta Get him out before he puts in work",Monse sighs,
"Who's putting in work, you still with that",Cesar says from behind us making me jump abit,
"Christ don't do that",I say,
"Jamal?",Cesar places his hand around his neck knowing he can't keep his mouth shut,
"We're still with it",He blurts out,
I roll my eyes

"This isn't funny anymore, trying to reason with my brother is straight up dumb. Promise your gonna drop it",Cesar blocks out way,
"Your overreacting-",Monse starts,
"Hes really not",I say calmly over Cesar ,
"Especially you.Promise",she gives him a look and says,
"I promise",And shrugs.
"See you after class",He potters away leaving us standing in a line,
"So who's gonna do it",Monse says after he's out of earshot,
"Not Jamal",We all day in unison,
"I'll do it",Monse says making me laugh,
"No",We all let out ,
"Your mouth is gonna get us killed",Jamal says quickly,
"Yeah, Monse's a total no-go",Ruby says from the side,
"I can't because I'm involved with them already",I shrug,
"That leaves me",Ruby days calmly but quickly stops in his tracks,
"But it cant be me",He shakes his head frantically making me laugh,
"It's you",We say in unison,
He starts to try argue himself out of it quickly receiving claps from Jamal and Monse.

The bell rings making me leave them to go to my next class.
