"Get out the way",Ruby zooms by Cesar and Monse whilst I sat on Jamal's handlebars screaming bloodymary,
"Ok, stop, let me off stop this contraption",I squirm trying to jump off the bike but he just speeds up,
We got to school soon enough parting for our classes.
Not much happened.
Ruby got embarrassed about some 'easy to swallow pills' and jasmin getting pissed about 'no but cheeks at homecoming'

Currently we're listening to Ruby complain,
Nothing new.

"Olivia only sees me in a certain way,To her I'm 'inside ruby' the guy she's forced to live with and buy underwear for",He groaned,
I let out a laugh retrieving a glare from him,
"Tonight I got to show her I can be 'outside Ruben' the guy that not only knows how to make killer chilaquiles but can sexify a lady on the dance floor",He explaines,
"Good look with that",I say laughing,

"Tonight I will redefine our relationship",He says aloud,
"Relax, Atticus",I mock and roll my eyes,
"Great I'm happy for you, So while you and Cesar and getting sexified on the dance floor-"Jamal starts but is interrupted,

"Aha! EXACTLY! Because you both always forget about me",Jamal shouts making me jump,
"We don't forget about you",Cesar reassures,
"We ignore you",Ruby looks up at Jamal,
"Harsh",I say looking between the boys,

"You gotta leave the cane at home",Cesar says making me listen to the conversation more,
"Cane?",I ask looking at them all,
"It's not a cane it's a pimp stick",Jamal says,
"Even worse",Ruby rolls his eyes,
"No, bring the cane",I nod,
"See, all the bitches will be around me",Jamal pretends to pop a collar that he doesn't have,

He looks down in disappointment,
"Hey, do I ever crap on your accessories?No",He looks up and begins arguing,
"Do I think necklaces are tacky on dudes?Yes",He continues making Cesar scoff considering he was wearing one,
"I disagree",I raise my hand lightly,
"Not now Com",Jamal says making me put my hand down,
"Anyways I keep that to myself, So your keep doing you with that tacky chain, and I'm gonna roll up with my pimp stock that I need for my foot injury",He finishes,
"Foot injury?",I look down to see he's walking just fine,
"It isn't real",Cesar mocks,
I let out a laugh remembering the whole 'lying to his dad about football' thing,
"Why you gotta neg me?",Jamal says quieter,
"Relax, no ones gonna neg your or forget you tonight 'cause this ain't 8th grade anymore boys...And girl, It's no 'timid hands off' it's all confident hands on",Ruby states,

"Wow, cause your so confident",I laugh,
"Shut up",He points a finger at me,
"Whatever I'm going",I turn and make my way down the halls.

At lunch I made my way to the benches everyone was sitting at,
"I'm wearing indigo tonight",I hear ruby belt out,
"Beautiful",I say as I plopped down.
"I thought we should claim colors to avoid outfit clashes",Ruby says making me roll the eyes,
"Indigo, any objections?",He looks around, "oh and my pants have red pockets",He smiles.
"Sounds weird but it works",He nods.

"What are the pockets for?Roofies?",Olivia asks making me choke on my juice,
Monsé nods subtly.
"So what time should we meet?",Cesar says changing topic,
"Yeah let's get that in the books.The more specific the better, What are you guys thinking?Like 8:00?8:05?8:10?",Jamal rambles,
"I'm gonna play it by ear.Not sure I'm feeling it",Olivia said,
"What?Why?!",Ruby nearly jumps out of his skin,
"Not sure if I'm in the mood to be objectified",Olivia rolls her eyes,
"You were born a woman your gonna be objectified your whole life",I say with a mouthful of bread,
"I'm just saying, if I wanna see a bunch of boners I'll just go online",She says out,
"Didn't you hear Principal Sarge? The dance is a no bone zone",Jamal tries to convince,
"Are you kidding?Dances are cesspools of bad behavior",Monse snaps,
"So is everywhere around here",I reason,
"I don't wanna go",Monse says making me die inside for the guys,

"Yeah, people get freaky, but what's wrong with getting freaky?",Ruby squints,
I widen my eyes and give him an 'abort mission look' if he was tryna' argue this isn't gonna get him anywhere.
"I don't get it",Ruby shrugs innocently,
"Yeah explain it to us, why don't you wanna go you were excited this morning",Cesar gives a smug looks,
"That was before I remembered how lame dances are",Monsé argues, "and maybe we're just not in the mood",She snaps.
"Oh, is it your menses?",Ruby asks.
"Oh god",I mutter looking everywhere but Monsé
"Her what?",Olivia asks leaning in,
"Her lady pond has runneth red",He says casually,
"That is the best sentence I've ever heard",I say to myself as I watch the guys try stop Ruby from speaking.

"Lady pond?",Monsé asks,
"What? What am I saying wrong?",He asks looking nervously,
"Everything",Us girls say in unison,
"You guys just don't understand what it's like to be a woman and treated like an object",Monsé says quickly,
"Agreed",I say from the corner,
"Your meant to be on our side",Ruby says nervously with a fake smile,
"I'm just agreeing and disagreeing, Tryna' be neutral",I say using hand gestures,
"We have hearts!"
"And minds",
The girls continue arguing but I lost interest quickly.

"So take out any question that we're going tonight, the answer is no.",Olivia snaps,
I could feel Ruby's heart shatter from across the table,
"With a period, cause that's what it's actually called",She shoots a look at Ruben.
"Olivia,Contonia, lets go dine in a less hostile environment",Monsé says,
"You read my mind",Olivia says filling her off the table,
"Sorry guys",I say before standing and leaving,
"I'll try talk them into it",I suggest,
"It's fine",Cesar says letting me leave.

Suddenly as we're walking home,
"We should go to the dance",Monsé blurts our making me laugh,
Cesar had texted me about what happened.
"What?Why?",Olivia asks confused to the sudden change of thought,
"Because we cant let hi- I mean them, win",Monsé let's out,
"No way, we need to stand our ground",Olivia argues,
"Shit, there's my brothers, gotta go",I say before walking back to the car that my brothers were stalking me in,

"Creeps",I say jumping in the front,
"Your not going to that dance tonight",He says out of nowhere,
