CHAPTER ONE OF : SUMMER DAYS

i woke up to the sound of the house phone ringing. Like always. I picked it up- just another guy trying to sell something. Seriously? I got up from a peacful sleep for this? I was home alone like the rest of the day  till since my parents have to work. I grabbed my cell phone and pulled it off the charger- 3 missed calls from my best friend; Jasmine. The last one was just a minute ago. I called her back

" hello " she said through the phone

" hey. you called ........ 3 times "

" YES! "

- silence-

 i pretended to clear my throat.

" so what did you want? " I asked

" oh yeah, can you hang out today? "

" well kinda, but only for a little bit, i have something to do at 7 "

" ugh, why do you have to go? " she whined

" idunno. i really don't want to " I whined with her.

"well what is it?" she wondered.

"Just a family dinner." I responded. I usually didn't mind these, but it was my mom side of the family. They're all stuck up.

"ugh, okay " she said miserably

" what about tommorrow? "

" i cant, its 4th of july the day after, i' m going on vacation "

"okay. next week then? "

"yeah, sure."

" kay sounds good, ill talk to you later " I smiled to myself, thinking about being able to fall back asleep.

"Kay bye "

I turned on the t.v. and started watching a random show, while i got up to get some cereal, I was already four o'clock, but I didn't feel like eating anything else.

i used to be so close with Jasmine. We would hang out all the time, we've been friends since 7th grade. But we've drifted apart, its sad really, at one tome I thought we'd be friends forever, now I try to wiggle out of seeing her, it's always awkward.

i finished my cereal and got ready for the dinner.

It was beyond boring! i came back home tired, and could almost still feel the judgmental looks I got for an hour from my family .

i tried to play my guitar, but i cant really play since its missing chords. Bored i went outside and played on my laptop. Then after watching netflix for a while until i fell asleep.

This summer had been such a bore. Doing nothing but - sleep, eat, and watch t.v. ocassionally i would hang out with my friends what a fun summer, right?
