Chapter 4: I thought you would forget
“I don’t wanna do this, guys.” I said feeling sick.
“We’re already in the car.” Said Moira.
“You obviously can’t back out now.” Caitlyn added.
I wanted to face him. I wanted to see him again…It’s not like I was scared to see him. I really didn’t care, what I wanted was to know how he felt about me.
*At the concert*
“I don’t feel good.” I said.
“Aw, you’re fine, just nervous.” Caitlyn said.
“Oh, god there’s Greyson.” I said seeing him.
He looked so amazingly different. He was so extremely perfect. When we were 12, he was cute. Now he’s…he’s sexy. I was lost in my thoughts, admiring the boy I missed dearly the past 2 years. My thoughts were interrupted by screaming Enchancers.
He walked out on stage.
“How is everyone tonight?” he asked.
I made my way up to the front and looked up at him. My hands started getting sweaty, and my heart was pounding. He began singing. A tear instantly rolled down my cheek. For the first time ever, I felt like a fan.
“I wanna be stranded on this island with you.” He sang. His voice was beautiful and angelic. I looked over at Caitlyn and Moira who were singing along and totally distracted. I love him.
I didn’t take my eyes off him. I closed my eyes for a split second when I heard.
“Katelyn is that you?” He said.
I looked at Caitlyn. “Not me,” she mouthed shaking her head. I panicked.
“It’s good to see you again.” He said to me.
I couldn’t speak, his band looked confused.
“Wow, Kate you’re so beautiful.” He said.
The crowd was staring at me. I felt so pressured to say something.
“I love you.” I said.
I realized what I just said; I wanted to take it back. The crowd stared Enchancers were giving me dirty looks.
Greyson paused. He glanced at the crowd, and looked back stage at his Mom and manager.
“I love you too.” He said. “Always, have.” He added.
I was shocked.
“Then why didn’t you believe me?!” I shouted to him.
He walked by the stage and leaned down next to me.
“I was afraid, I knew I was going to be hurt either way.” He said.
“I thought you didn’t trust me.” I said starting to cry.
“No. I didn’t trust myself.” He said. “Don’t cry, you’re too beautiful for that.” He said smiling.
I forgave him. A long time ago, I just never wanted to believe it.
“I’ve missed your brown eyes.” I said.
“Just like I’ve missed your adorable laugh.” He said.
His face lit up, I knew what he was going to do. He grabbed me by the hand and said…
“Katelyn Ashley, I love you.”
“Greyson Michael, I love you too.” I replied.
Greyson leaned down as I stretched up and kissed me gently on the lips. His lips fit with mine perfectly, like a puzzle piece. The silent crowd that I was scared of busted with an “Awwwww!!” I was relieved. I was in love.
“Now, love…I have a concert to finish.” He said.
I smiled and nodded.
“Thanks for coming, beautiful.” He said smiling.
I smiled back and he continued his concert. I looked back at Caitlyn and Moira and gave them a big hug.
“We are so proud of you.” They said hugging me.
“I love you guys.” I said happier than ever.
I looked up at Greyson. He was a pro at this. He looked down at me and I mouthed the words. “Best Friends Forever.” Greyson nodded and winked. I don’t know what happened, I just know I love him, and he loves me…we love each other.
