The tears that dared to fall blurred my vision as I saw the horrific scene that unfolded before me. In my father's hand was the heart of Jordan, my first love. A sob escaped my throat as I couldn't hold my tears any longer.  He was dead.  He was really dead, and it was all my father's fault.  I quickly ran to his side as Jordan's lifeless body dropped to the ground as my body collapsed along with him.  A loud scream erupted from me and I began to lose control over my powers.  The ground started to shake violently, and the foundation of the building shook, a harsh wind beginning to circle me, whipping my hair in all directions.  I cared not if my powers were affecting all of New Orleans, all I cared about was Jordan and now he was gone.

"Hope, stop," my father's voice boomed behind me.  "You must understand, he was only using you.  He was working with Marcel to destroy us."  I turned my head slowly in his direction, tears streaming down my cheeks and my face contorted into utter horror at the sound of my father's accusations.

Standing up, I turned my entire body towards him and screamed, "He cared for me, father!  Your constant paranoia has blinded you from the truth.  He would never hurt our family; it seems as though only you do!"  With every word, I took a step closer towards him, and the wind began to reach fatal levels.  The walls began to crumble and cave in, and he began to wear a face of worry and regret.  I realized what needed to be done to keep my sanity and escape the demons that lurked in the shadows of my family.  "I am done with you and your idiotic conspiracies.  I am leaving, and nothing you can do will stop me."

With the snap of my fingers, I knocked the great Klaus Mikaelson unconscious and sent him back to the Abattoir.  I looked back at the irreversible events that took place and took a deep breath.  Taking out the bracelet that I had tucked in my back pocket, I put it on my wrist to halt my powers and cease the severe earthquake that had persisted until that moment.  I tucked my blonde hair behind my ears and turned back towards the door.  With shaky hands and tears still streaming down my face, I began the journey to a better life - a life where I won't live in fear of my family's actions.

I had no idea of where I would be welcome, but one place came to mind.  When I was younger, my mother took me to a place in California for a little while to obtain an ingredient for the cure that saved our family.  If I recall correctly, it was a small town where we stayed in a house with a bunch of other werewolves.  Nodding my head with determination, I knew that town was the best place to escape my family, as it is on the other side of the country.  At that moment I had made up my mind.

I was going to Beacon Hills.
