The two males walked with their heads in the clouds. Luther would look up to Angel every so often, enjoying his presence and handsome features.

Angel had black hair with one strand of brown that hung down the middle of his forehead. He had tanned skin that looked just like an angels when exposed to the bright, beaming sunlight. His eyes were a beautiful baby blue with a white ring in the middle and a darker blue ring on the outside. Angel's facial features were that of a perfect actors, with a jawline so sharp and beautiful.

Angel couldn't help but smirk at the smaller boy as his chocolate brown eyes filled with mesmerisation. He looked down with a kind smile, shortly after Luther knew what he was doing and looked away with his cheeks flushed red. He mentally scolded himself for getting lost in his thoughts while looking at his dear best friend.

What Luther didn't know is that Angel felt the same way as him, without knowing Luther felt that way too. They both kept the dirty secret that they have, hidden out of sight from one another. They liked each other as friends when wearing a mask, but when you saw through their facade of lies, you could tell that they liked each other in that way. They would never admit to it in fear of rejection though.

The silence was getting awkward for small Luther so he tried to jump into a conversation quickly, without being too rushed.

"So, how was your morning Angel?" Luther tilted his head up to look at the taller boy as he asked this.

"It was good," he looked down to Luther then back to his front, "lonely, but good."

Angels parents liked to go on trips for long periods of time and leave him alone. He was lonely in the mornings but when school finished, Angel and Luther would race each other into his house and start play fighting, as boys will do. He always longed for the end of the day at school, but dreaded the weekends. His brother would come home from university and hold parties at his parents house. The only options for Angel during this time were: stay in your room and don't come out until morning, or, go down with the university seniors and be teased and so on.

Angel was always teased because of his name. He hated it, even when someone called it peculiar or strange. That all changed when he met Luther though.

Luther was a quiet boy who would sit at the bench on the oval, alone and cold. He never brought a jacket and always had goosebumps on his arms. Angel thought that he should do something to make the poor boy a little warmer, so he went outside, took a spare jacket that he had in his bag and put it on the boys shoulders.

The boy jumped in shock when he saw someone sit opposite him in the cold. He felt something warm draped down and over his neck and shoulders. "You looked cold, so I thought that you could use it." Angel smiled at the boy.

"T-thank you..." is all that left the small males mouth.

"Say, What is your name?" The taller male politely asked.

"L-Luther, Luther Van Zyle." Luther looked down with red cheeks.

"Nice to meet you. I am Angel Alexanders. Where does your last name originate from?" Angel tilted his head, still smiling at the boy.

"My grand parents are South African. I can't speak Afrikaans but I can definitely understand it." The young Luther was starting to get used to this talk and stopped stuttering.

"You have a pretty interesting background. I like it. Wanna be my friend?" Angels smile got bigger when asking this question.

Luther looked down as his face turned fifty shades of pink, and laid in his own arms. A small nod was seen from the covered head, which made Angel happy.

After that day, Luther would follow Angel around and occasionally smile at his jokes. He was like a loyal puppy, following his master, Angel, around.

One day Luther witnessed the so called teasing that Angel had talked about. People from the soccer (or football, which ever floats your boat) team were making fun of his name, calling it girly, gay and so on. Luther wanted to do something, but was afraid of getting in the bully's way, so he stayed hidden and scolding himself for not being strong enough to help his friend.

After school, they both walked to Angel's house in complete silence. A slight mumble was heard from the smaller boy; this caught Angel's attention.

"I'm sorry? What did you say?" The taller boy asked.

"I like your n-name. It's pretty, cute. It suits you." The smaller boy looked up to Angel and held a warm and happy smile on his face. Angel couldn't help but blush and look away from Luther's cutesy and adorable nature he put on when he was alone with Angel. Something in his chest thumped with excitement, and he wanted Luther to only look at him that way. That was when he realised his feelings for Luther. Though Luther felt that way towards Angel when they first met on that lonely bench.

It has been a year since that day and both their hearts react the same way towards each other. Once they were near each other, their hearts felt like they would explode from how hard they were thumping in their chests.

Once they made it to the school grounds they went their seperate ways, fist bumping in the process. All day they would think about each other; totally mesmerised by each other and their aura. Luther hoped that one day, his feelings would be heard and returned by Angel. Angel longed for that feeling too; desperately.

They would keep on their facade for years if they had to, just to get to see each other in their arms. All this, because of their feelings towards each other.

And neither one of them could know what would happen next.
