A/N: Here's a new chapter. Sorry if the words aren't up to par with the rest of the story. I was seriously fighting that thing known as Writer's Block. So sorry in advance if you feel like it sucks. XD Happy Reading! (P.S. I hope you start to like Justin!)

Chapter 14

When they picked Justin up, he was already waiting outside, wearing the exact shirt that they told him not to wear. Luckily he did it as a joke and had another shirt with him.

"We are going to get nakedly drunk!"

They winced at his words. They were used to him saying things like that but they didn't want to be embarrassed in public. Especially the town that that they have settled in and have become accepted by a small part of the community.

He hopped in the truck and they were off.

"I can't believe you guys got a truck. A man is supposed to have a truck. Well, I guess Kate is the man in the relationship."

Kathryn turned around in the passenger seat and punched him in the nuts. He quickly grabbed at his lap reflexively and then laughed.

        "That doesn't faze me anymore."

Natalie laughed. and glanced back at him in the rearview mirror.

"That's not supposed to be a good thing."

He paused, his face perplexed. Kathryn wondered how he never thought that that was weird. Luckily they made it to the bar in one piece, though not counting their mental stability. He always drove them crazy within a few hours of hanging out with them. The only time they could really handle him was when he was drinking. Natalie's theory said that they felt that way because he finally had an excuse to act like a jackass instead of just actually being one.

They got to the bar and walked in. Heads turned in their direction and several of the men there looked like they wouldn't hesitate to throw a punch. There was a dance floor and a band. The bartender was a busty blonde who was all smiles, hoping to get better tips. They geared towards the right and found a table with a great view of the dance floor. They were, of course, playing country music, something that Kathryn and Natalie had only heard a couple of times in the city.

Justin was getting ready to go get their drinks when a waitress stopped by to take their orders.

"Hi, I'm Stacy. Have you all decided on what you want to drink?"

Kathryn and Natalie were discussing what to drink when Justin answered.

"I'll have a tall drink of you."

The waitress, Stacy, shook her head and smiled.

"That's not the first time I've heard that one. Give up because this ain't ever happenin'."

Kathryn and Natalie were giggling in the corner, holding hands and whispering about the denial that Justin got.

"Now, what can I get ya?"

"She and I will have rum and cokes and two lemon drops. Justin will have a yagerbomb."

Stacy wrote down the orders and left, saying that she would be back as quickly as she could. Kathryn and Natalie smirked and then broke out in laughter.

"You guys think it's funny? Don't worry. I'll make you bow down to me in praise by the end of the night because I will have her hanging off my arm."

"Yeah, if that happens then we will make you breakfast. That is, if you are up and out of bed by that time."

Somehow he made them eat their words. Stacy was hanging off his arm after her shift ended and she stayed there for the rest of the night. Kathryn and Natalie just shook their heads in disbelief at them. When they showed them up at line dancing, they just sat down and talked between the two of them. They turned down the countless men that got the courage to ask to buy them a drink.

They held up their wedding rings and then they walked away. When a handsome cowboy walked up to sit in Justin's place, they knew they had a problem. An arrogant smirk decorated his face and his eyes were alight with a predatory gleam. Kathryn and Natalie shifted in their seats uncomfortably. He started with a simple hello, but it seemed like forced pleasantry, like he didn't want to make small talk.

        "I'm Harry."

"I'm Natalie and this is Kathryn."

While Natalie and "Harry" continued their conversation, Kathryn tried to glance around the bar, looking for a friendly face to help them. She saw that Justin was talking to Stacy by the bar. He glanced over at them, checking to make sure they were alright. When he saw that Kathryn's eyebrows were raised, the hair on the back of his neck stood straight up.

"Do you know who that man is, Stacy?"

"Yeah that's Harry Steinman. He works on a ranch not too far from here as a foreman. He gives me the creeps. Everybody tries to stay away from him."

Justin walked up to them, taking the stairs two at a time. He tried to appear casual but all he really wanted to do was save them.

"Hey ladies, we should get going. We have an early day ahead of us tomorrow. You were going to show me your ranch, remember?"

Kathryn turned her gaze to him, silently thanking him with her eyes.

"Yes that's right. I completely forgot! Sorry Harry but you have to excuse us."

"That's alright, Kathryn. I'm just sorry we couldn't spend more time talking."

        "Right. Let's go Natalie."

They stood up and hastily walked out to the truck.

"Shit. I forgot to tell Stacy we were leaving. I'll be right back. Get in and lock the doors."

They did as they were told and silently waited for him. Maybe Justin like this girl more than he normally like his potential one night stands. He wouldn't ever go back inside to tell a girl he was leaving. When they looked back up they saw "Harry" get in a truck and drive off. They silently breathed a sigh of relief. They looked back to the doorway of the bar and saw Justin and Stacy kissing.

"Well, you got to hand it to him. Boy has game."

"I don't understand how he does. He's an idiot, doesn't make sense most of the time, and is prone to extreme moments of stupidity."

        Natalie laughed at the description.

"True, but he can also be really sweet."

Kathryn took in the look on Natalie's face.

"You do remember that we're married, right?"

Natalie jerked her face over to look at Kathryn, shock evident on her face.

"Of course I remember! I can't believe you would say that to me. He's a friend nothing more and if that little display was anything to go by, Justin is taken too."

        "Okay."

Kathryn silently gave thanks to whoever was looking out for them. She thanked them everyday for Natalie.
