Chp 2: "Survival"

flashback: A helicopter hovering over the neighborhood announces to any survivors to make their way to the concession stand at the park, where they are evacuating refugees. Later that night Marian, Jamie, and Alyssa escaping to a refugee center at the hospital onset of the feeder epidemic, watch in horror as military helicopters drop napalm on Seattle.

In the Present, In Seattle, David and Duane's group gets into conflict with the Vagos, a gang of Latinos that kidnap Jason and demand they exchange Duane's bag of weapons for his return. When they face-off at the Vagos base, they discover it is a warehouse, and the Vagos are only trying to protect their own people. David leaves some of the weapons and ammo for the Vagos, and Jason is returned unharmed. The group finds their Humvee missing, and they start to race on foot back to the hospital. At the hospital, the other survivors' are enjoying lunch when a horde of feeders suddenly appear, biting several of the members of the national guard. David and the others arrive in time to quell the feeders. however, More feeders began rushing into the hospital and a feeder already got a survivor named Ethan from behind. As feeders was eating him up, as the others stand around in shock, Than in the armory Duane and the national guard decides to give the hospital residents some weapons to protect themselves against the feeders and to take back the hospital. After they kill all the feeders that was in the hospital, the survivors deal with the aftermath of the feeders attack, burying the dead national guards and burning the bodies of the zombies. As than they meet other survivors that came to find a safe haven. They introduced themselves to David, Duane and everyone, their names are Evan, Kelly, Billy, Sharon, Patricia, and Mandy. Sergeant Duane greet and welcomes them in the hospital, as Evan asks for a doctor for Billy who has been injured. Duane shows and introduce them to their doctor, David Blake, David treats Billy, but he reveals that he has contracted a blood infection from the wound and needs antibiotics in order to keep him alive. Sergeant Duane suggests that they might find supplies at a nearby nursing home where the Federal Emergency Management Agency has set up a refugee although the place is likely overrun with feeders. Jason and Johnathan decide to get the supplies, David and Evan discuss the feeder epidemic, David believes there is no cure, while Evan has faith that there could be one. At the nursing home, they find a bag containing painkillers and doxycycline antibiotics. Jason and Johnathan retrieve the supplies, but are spotted by feeders. The two have no choice but to barricade themselves in the nursing home. That night as Jamie and Alyssa was reading books with other children where they turned a waiting room into a library, At Marian and David's room they had sex. After dinner Duane and David discusses with the council about making the hospital their permanent home. Than Evan, Kelly and the other new survivors join the group, as David and Duane found out that Billy is a farmer and knows how to grow food.
