Laurance's POV
My eyes fluttered open as I noticed I was being held by Garroth, he was sitting up on the hospital bed with his back leaning against the back board, his eyes glued shut. He must've been up late. I rub my eyes and sit up, lifting my head from his lap as I look around the room, still seeing the iv attached to my arm, I sigh and check the time on my phone–12:24pm. It's the afternoon of the next day already...wow we slept long. I scanned the room for Dante, hm. I leaned back down into Garroth's lap and opened my phone up.
23 missed calls
I frowned at my phone and unlocked my phone, clicking on the 'recent' tab.
Cad called 23 times
I sighed and opened our chats.

lauryisfine💕: Hey Cad?
Firegirl🔥: LAURANCE!!
Firegirl🔥: WHY ARENT YOU ANSWERING MY TEXTS!???? YOURE SO LUCKY I DIDNT TELL DAD OR HE WOULD TRACK YOU DOWN AND KILL YOU!!
lauryisfine💕: Hey😅😅 Sry..
Firegirl🔥: WHERE ARE YOU???
lauryisfine💕: Cad. I'm at the hospital, I texted you earlier.
Firegirl🔥: You're still in the hospital -_-
Firegirl🔥: So you're not at Garroth's house making out?
lauryisfine💕: CAD! we aren't dating!
Firegirl🔥: Mhm. Anyhow. Why are you still there?
lauryisfine💕: I'm fine, I just am not feeling good is all
Firegirl🔥: I know you're fine, I can read your username, dummy.
Firegirl🔥: But that's not an excuse, why can't you go back to your apartment?
lauryisfine💕: I just um. Okay fine. Truth is. I got in a car accident.
Firegirl🔥: Wait really? You aren't lying? A car accident? Laurance you're a great driver.
lauryisfine💕: It's true
lauryisfine💕: And I am a good driver but when I talk too much by COIN comes on, oh man I loose it.
lauryisfine💕: That song is 👌
Firegirl🔥: Hm. Fine. Fine.
lauryisfine💕: I'll be out soon and I'll take dad and you out to dinner, k?
Firegirl🔥: Got me sold! Sweet 🍭!!
lauryisfine💕: Lolll kk gtg bye sis🔥🔥
Firegirl🔥: 👋 👋👌
I smile to myself a bit and sigh thankfully. I feel movement from the bed and set my phone down on the food table beside the bed, I sit up and look at Garroth beside me, he rubs his eyes and stretches out, yawning, I smile at him and remember about what Cadenza said, my mind continues to go places as I blush and stare at him, admiring his features: his button nose, pink lips, soft gentle eyes that were just opening, fluffy golden hair.
His lips formed into a smile as he noticed me staring, "Hey..." he yawned once more and sighed, pulling his arms around my waist and pulling me towards his chest, my body now on his lap, I laughed a bit.
"Aren't I a bit heavy?" I asked, a bit timid. He just smiled and shook his head, his blonde locks bouncing.
"Nope, not at all." He leaned his head on my shoulder.
I wasn't use to all this attention...Garroth was usually too shy to act this way around me but I guess our time apart helped his confidence. I turned my head towards him and he lifted his head slowly from my shoulder, I stared into his teal eyes, his staring into my baby blue ones. I slid my hand gently onto his shoulder and slowly leaned closer.
Door creaks.
"Excuse me, Mr. Zv–oh!" The nurse from the day I was having a mental crisis stepped in and stared at us and blushes, "I uh, heh sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt, I just need to give Mr. Zvahl his meds for the morning."
Garroth's POV
What.
What.
WHaT?!
Was Laurance going to...no. Heh. No way was he....
"Its all fine! Thank you." Laurance says to the young nurse softly as he gently removed his hand from my shoulder and slid off my lap so he's now sitting besides me. I frown a bit as the warmth from him is gone and I sigh a slight bit, throwing on one of my famous fake smiles towards the nurse. She smiles sweetly and sets up Laurance's meds, she gets a needle ready and he sighs, dully staring at his hands as he clenches the blanket.
"Relax your muscles Laurance, it'll hurt less." She warns him as he tries to calm himself. I reached out my hand into his lap and held his hand, I looked at him as he looked over at me, our eyes matching up as we are of similar heights. He smiles to me and his cheeks flush a beautiful bubblegum pink.
"Ah–.." he gasps lightly and holds my hand tight. I frown gently at his pain.
I pulled him closer to my chest and whispered into his ear, "Shh, calm down love."
His eyes widened slightly at my comment and looked away, I was worried that I upset him from my wordplay. The nurse finished and smiled at us.
"Laurance you need to tell me next time your boyfriend comes to visit so I can not intrude next time," she giggles softly and picks up the medicine tray and leaves.
"B-but he–err..." he stares back down at his hand intwined with mine and his eyes widened once more, "H-heh..."
