Letters (Tsukishima Kei X Yamaguchi Tadashi)

Chapter 10: My letters to you

Tsukishima is bathing. Yamaguchi sits stiftly on Tsukishima's bed. He is decked in Tsukishima's shirt and boxers, having showered before Tsukishima. The whole room smelt like Tsukishima, a mild scent of wild flowers.

Yamaguchi looks around the room finding that not much had changed since he last came by two weeks back. Of course nothing would change. Yamaguchi laughs nervously to himself. He spots a corner of an envelope poking out from the drawer. Yamaguchi pulls open the drawer to put the envelope back. Letters, 7 of them stare back at him. All with cute stickers pasted on them. A sticker album lies next to the letters. Yamaguchi picks one of the envelopes up and carefully opens it. A typewritten poem greets him.

Just then, the door opens and Tsukishima steps out of the bathroom with only a towel around his waist. He catches Yamaguchi with the letter and turns red, snatching it away. "Aren't those for me? I want to read. Come on Tsukki, please..." Tsukishima passes the letter back. "Hn. I have good writing skills right?" Tsukishima tries to mask his embarrassment with a smart comment, which unfortunately fails because of his bright red face. Yamaguchi looks at Tsukishima and then realises that Tsukishima has nothing but a layer of cloth covering his...ahem. "Tsukki, go wear some clothes. What if you catch a cold?" Yamaguchi turns away and tries his best not to look at his friend. Tsukishima quickly changes into a shirt and red boxers. Yamaguchi takes out all the letters in the drawer and gingerly lays them on the bed. "I always thought Yuki-san was the one writing all these poems." He turns around and looks at Tsukishima. "I guess not but I like them alot Tsukki. Why do you always type them?" "My letters, I didn't want you to know they were from me. You looked happy reading Kajima's letter, I just thought it would be nice I guess?" Yamaguchi looks at Tsukishima. "It is nice." They spend the rest of the night looking at the stars through Tsukishima's telescope, Yamaguchi hugging the small green dinosaur plushie and lying on Tsukishima's shoulder till he fell alseep. Tsukishima tucks Yamaguchi into bed and settles down beside him, soon he too got lulled to sleep.

The next morning, Yamaguchi wakes up to find a letter addresssed to him on the table as he waits for Tsukishima to finish brushing his teeth. He opens it. Inside contains a small card with a simple one line in Tsukishima's tidy handwriting. "Will you go out with me?"

"Yes!" Yamaguchi screams and hugs Tsukishima from behind.
