The full moon shone brightly overhead as I walked down the bleak, desolate sidewalk. The rain stained my boots as the crisp September air seemed to freeze it. Howls came from the woods around me, making me shudder with fear and frigidness. I continued to walk down the sidewalk, not as much in horror as I should have been. As the street ended, I began to follow a path into a park behind two houses. In the park was a single tree, along with with a single park bench underneath. The tree looked shady in the light. I cautiously walked up to the tree and sat down on the park bench. I bolted up straight away, feeling something wet. The park bench seemed to be wet from the rain. I sat back down and stared up at the moon. I began to think about how beautiful it was. It brought people out into the night, even if those people were usually only there to creep around in the dark. I continued my thoughts on the full moon until I was interrupted.

"What are you doing here?" A voice screamed out of the shadows. I looked around desperately to find who, where, and in which direction the sound had come. I could not see through the darkness.

"I said, what are you doing here!?" The voice screamed once again. I tried to answer as best I could without sounding scared.

"I-um was just sitting down.." I trailed off. I warily stood up from the bench to try to get a better look at him.

"No." The voice hissed. "That's not why you're here."

"What?" I said, squinting my eyes.

"You'll never get it! Never!"

The beholder of the voice slowly moved out of the shadows. They didn't look human. I couldn't entirely see their face due to the hood covering it, but there was a long, skinny black tail coming out from behind them. Their appearance only terrified me more.

"Get what..?" I asked quietly. I thought I heard noises coming from a bush nearby, and turned to look behind at it. There was nothing there. By the time I had turned back around, the creature had moved closer to me.

"You will never tell anyone you saw me." He said, now ever closer.

"Okay..." I said nervously. We were practically breathing each other's breath now.

The creature was about to turn around and leave when he turned back towards me.

"I think I have something else in mind for you." He said with an evil grin.

I looked at him, confused. "What do you me-"

He raised up his hand, pulling my body up by my neck. He was choking me. I screamed out for help between my cries.

"Pl-please.." I choked. He raised his hand up higher now, pulling me even farther off the ground. I found it disgusting how much pleasure he was taking in my death.

I could see the world slowly fading out around me. I was about to pass out, that was until someone else entered the picture.

"Leave her alone!" A voice screamed out from behind the tree. "Wow, that was loud.." He mumbled under his breath.

The creature threw me down to the ground and looked at the tree.

I could feel the ground shake under me as I yelped out in pain.

The mysterious voice stepped out from behind the tree. By what I could see and hear from the ground, The sound looked to had come from a Teenage boy.

"You have no business here," He creature said to the Boy. "I suggest you leave, now."

"Why would I leave? It's pretty obvious that girl needs help from you." The Boy said to the creature, apparently not caring about the creature's power over him. "Cool tail, though..."

The creature stared at him in disbelief. "You will leave now, or face the same fate as the girl." He said, raising his voice.

The Boy breathed in as if to say he didn't want my fate. He let the air out and thought for a minute about what to say next. " I think you should leave," The Boy said, taking a step closer to the creature.

"And why I do that?" The creature asked in a gruesome voice.

"Um.. because..this."

"Wha-"

"Immolabitque...eam..igni!"

The creature fell to the ground, then disappeared into thin air.

I gaped from the dusty ground on which the Creature had put me. The Boy looked away from the creature had been, and straight at me. Through the moonlight, all I could see of him were a pair of green eyes-and brown messy hair.
