"A babysitter, for you? Classic!" Benny and Olivia laughed as Ethan and them walked down the hall of Whitechapel high. "Keep it down, Man!" Ethan whispered, "This kind of info could totally ruin a guys rep."
"Really, what rep?" Olivia asked sarcastically.
Ethan rolled his eyes, "It's not for me, it's for Jane.
"On the positive side, one of these primo high school babes could totally be at your house tonight." Benny turned in a circle, checking our every girl in his radar, "Hey hot stuff."
"Dude!"
"What?"
Benny quickly looked at Olivia, the girl he had been trying to get for years, for any sign of jealousy. "Lucky for these girls, they actually have taste." She retorted, rolling her eyes. She felt a pang of hurt, but chose to ignore it. Defeated, Benny sighed and turned back to Ethan."All I know is that her name is Erica and she goes to this school. With any luck, I can talk my parents out of it by tonight."
Olivia sighed, "Good luck with that."The three quickly turned to look at Principal Hicks hanging a 'Missing teen' poster on a trophy case with the help of a drama kid. Olivia had seen as many 'Missing teen' posters in the past few months as the had The Chamber Of Secrets- So, she saw them everywhere.
"Thank you Jesse!"
"Anything for our fearless leader," Jesse smelt the coffee he had been holding for Principal Hicks, "Do you mind?"
Before he could say no, Jesse drank from the cup. "Ah, French Roast."
"French Roast."
"Good choice."
"Good choice."
Jesse turned to Olivia and winked before him and his group moved on. Benny furrowed his eyebrows and moved closer to Olivia. She shuddered. Jesse was hot, but there had always been something off putting about him and the club.
"Creepy."

"Benny, Olivia, this is it. Our whole future social lives depend on how we behave here the next few days." Ethan said, grabbing a slice of pizza. Olivia looked around at the food in front of her and felt as though she going to puke. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Benny putting on goggles before turning to Ethan.
"What do you think?"
"Benny!" Ethan grabbed at the goggles and took them off his face, worried Benny would ruin his chance at being somewhat popular this year.
"Those are state of the art alien DNA detector goggles!"
"Yeah, so?"
"The high school cafeteria is an ideal place to test them out! Right Liv?"
"With this cafeteria food, very ideal." Olivia had never liked cafeteria food, especially not in Whitechapel. She refrained from touching anything wet, slimy, or hairy. Who knew what was in that food, or if hairnets were actually worn.Benny smiled at Olivia, happy she had agreed with him. Butterflies flew in his stomach as she smiled back.
"Yeah, and to brand us as dorks for the next four years!"
Olivia laughed, "I think you can get yourself branded without the goggles, E."
Ethan and Benny fought over goggles as Benny promised to never take them out again. A yell from the front of the line interrupted them."Hey, guys! Over here!"
Benny turned around and sighed, "Rory." Olivia quickly hit his arm. She didn't understand why they hated Rory so much. He was like a lost puppy, just looking for companionship.
"The four amigos ride again! Any of you got a buck twenty-eight?"Ethan scoffed, "Okay, that's it. I'm getting away from you guys or I'm doomed to be-" Ethan abruptly stopped his effort to leave the three as he bumped into a girl, spilling her lunch all down the front of her.
Dark hair, tan, she was a vision of perfection.
"Dork! Thank you so much." She walked away in a huff as Ethan stood there, awkwardly, as kids laughed. "What was that, Dork?" Olivia laughed, earning a high five from Benny. He felt sparks as his hand touched hers.Benny came up next to Ethan and put his goggles back on, "That is one babetastic tower of babeylon." Olivia pretended to throw up at Benny's comment. "Don't worry, Dork." She said, putting her hand on Benny's shoulder, "I'll fix your mess, like always."
"Thanks, Liv."
There was always a system in their trio, Ethan fixed Benny's messes, and Olivia fixed the messes Ethan made fixing Benny's.
Benny started as she walked away, watching her red hair flow back and forth, and back and forth, and back and forth.Olivia made her way to the table the dark haired girl had sat at, who was now sat with a tall blonde who looked as though she could talk for hours.
"Hey, I'm really sorry about my friend," she said in her most convincing voice once reaching the table. "He's just a Dork who thinks he can finally be semi-popular for once and is obviously failing. I totally have a shirt in my locker you can borrow."
"Thanks," She laughed, "I'm Sarah."
"Olivia." She sat down at the table only to be bombarded with questions of Dusk.
"I'm Erica," The blonde said, "So, Dusk."
Olivia immediately recognized her as the girl who had been sitting as the 'Dusk III' ticket booth all afternoon. Erica looked at her with eyes that told her she was obviously crazy.
"Right, Dusk, totally, Yeah, great." She trailed off.
Erica looked at her with the biggest smile, "Right!"
Olivia sighed as she listened to Erica go on about Dusk. She wasn't eager to be friends with a Dusker, but Sarah seemed cool and Olivia was desperate for friends her own gender.Seconds later, Ethan, Benny, and Rory day down a few tables away.
"No way, Olivia's talking to that babe you branded, and she's actually friends with Erica!" Benny exclaimed happily, looking over at their table. "Who stage one dusker girl?" Ethan asked, now also looking over at the girls. "And you still like Olivia?" Ethan laughed.
"Hey, she's going to be the Princess Leia to my Han Solo!" He stated, staring at her dreamily. When Olivia had moved in next door to Benny in grade 2, the three became inseparable. Benny had loved Olivia before he even liked girls. There was no need to tell Ethan of his crush, since it was obvious to anyone who listened to him talk."Hey, maybe Erica's your babysitter tonight."
Ethan snorted trying to hold back laughter, "Okay, first, Liv can be Leia, but in no universe are you Han." Ethan looked back at the girls, "And, I doubt it's the same Erica."
"Yeah you're right. Probably too good to be true. I'm gonna go find out."
Ethan tried to stop Benny on his way to cause him further embarrassment, but he wouldn't listen. "Way to go, Benny!" Rory cheered, looking up from the goggles he had been playing with.Benny walked over to the table and sat down, putting an arm around Olivia, "Hey Liv." She felt weirdly comfortable and warm under his arm, almost like it was natural. She chose to think this was because he was her best friend. He turned to Erica, "Hey there, are you by any chance babysitting the Morgan's tonight?"
"Yeah, why? Do you know their kids?"
Olivia looked at Benny and back at Erica, "Sadly."
"One of them's our buddy, sitting right over there.." He trailed off pointing to Ethan, who was covering his face with his arm on the table. "He's a bit shy. See you Liv." She awkwardly chuckled as he walked away."It's that your boyfriend?" Erica asked, endearingly. "Benny? No, he does that with every girl." For someone she had just met, she was awfully persistent to know everything about her personal life.
"So, the 'Dusk III' screening." Erica squealed at Sarah and Olivia. Part of Olivia knew she liked Benny, and the other part hoped this conversation would be over soon.Happy 4th guys !
