The next passed uneventfully. Stiles wasn't talking to Scott, no matter what. During school, everyone was talking about the mountain lion and how my dad killed it. After school, I went home and Aunt Kate and I went to the gun range. It was a lot of fun.

The following day I'm in school and I can hear Scott whispering to himself. "Hi, Scott." I said. "Aww...come on!" he yelled and turned around and left. 'Huh?' I thought, 'What was that all about?' I went to follow him, but he disappeared. 'Later.' I thought.

I went into History class and took my seat. Soon I see Scott come in and looked to Stiles. Stiles looked kind of angry towards Scott. Scott looked once more and then takes his seat behind them. "Still not talking to me?" Scott asked Stiles. He was trying to talk quietly, but since I'm sitting next to Stiles, I can hear it. When Stiles said nothing, Scott sighed. "Can you at least tell me if your dad's okay? I mean, it's just a bruise right? Some soft tissue damage?" Scott asked. Stiles looked annoyed yet. "Nothing that big?" Scott continued. Again Stiles said nothing and ignored Scott. "You know I feel really bad about it, right? Okay." Scott replied. Stiles just breathed heavily and ignored him. Scott sighed again. Then leaned closer to Stiles and whispered something quieter that I couldn't hear. But whatever it was, Stiles looked even more annoyed and shocked. Then I heard Stiles say, "If I was talking to you, I'd say that you're an idiot for even trusting him. But obviously I'm not talking to you." The bell rang signaling the beginning of class. I bent over and grabbed my history book out and opened it. Stiles sat up straighter. Scott dug through his backpack. Stiles looked like he was mentally kicking himself, but he turned to Scott. "What's he say?" Stiles asked. Scott smiled at Stiles and said, "Later." Scott nodded towards me and Stiles looked, thinking I wasn't paying attention.

After class, I started to follow them and see what they were saying, but Kol stopped me. We talked for a little. At lunch I decided to sit with Allison and see what she was reading. Plus maybe get more information out of her. Lydia's here too. Lydia held her fork and looked kind of annoyed crossed with boredom. She looked up then at Allison and asked, "The what of who?" "The beast of Gevadaun. Listen." Allison started, and then read from the book, "A quadruped wolf-like monster, prowling the Auvergne and South Dordoghe areas of France, during the years 1764-1767. 'La Bete killed over 100 people becoming so famous that the King Louis XV sent one of his best hunters to try and kill it." "Boring." Lydia replied. I gasped. "Not boring!" I exclaimed. She ignored me and Allison smiled. Then started reading some more. "Even the church eventually declared the monster a messenger of Satan." Allison read. "Hmm...still boring." Lydia said. I just shook my head. "Cryptozoologists believe it may have been a subspecies of hoofed predators, possible mesonychid!" Allison read. "Slipping in a coma bored." Lydia said. I glared at her, but she didn't notice. 'How could Allison be friends with her?' I wondered.

Lydia kept eating. "While others believe it was a powerful sorcerer who could shape shift into a man eating monster." Allison read more. Lydia shakes her head. "Any of this have anything to do with your family?" she asked. "Uh...yeah!" I exclaimed. "This." Allison answered, "It is believed, that La Bete was finally trapped and killed by a known hunter, who claimed his wife and four children were the first to fall prey to the creature." Lydia looked annoyed. Allison laughed a little. "His name was Argent." Allison said. "See!" I exclaimed. "Your ancestors killed a big wolf. So what?" Lydia said. "Not just a big wolf." I replied. "Take a look at this picture." Allison said, flipping a few pages and showed it to Lydia. "What does it look like to you?" Allison asked. Lydia looked closely at it and seemed...I don't know...afraid? In a trance? "Lydia?" Allison asked. "Lydia." I said, when she didn't answer Allison. She finally looked at us. "It looks like a big wolf. See you in History." she replied and got up and headed off. 'Weird.' I thought.

"Wasn't that strange? I mean Lydia acting strange?" I asked. "She's been through a lot." Allison defended her friend. Then she went back to reading. I wanted to ask more, but...yeah, she was reading, so I didn't bother her. Allison then looked up and saw Scott leaving. She closed her book as well and got up. "Scott, Scott, wait!" she said. She gathered her belongings and left.
