Now was my free period. So I walked around the school and then outside. I saw Jackson and walked over to him. "Hey Jackson!" I yelled. He turned to look at me. He looked awful. "Crystal, hi." he said. I'm so glad everyone was able to tell us apart now.

"So how are you doing? You look...awful." I replied. "I'm good. Fine." he said, "Really." He added, when I raised an eyebrow. "Well, you need to get a good night's rest." I said. "I will." he said. I looked to the field. "So what's going on there?" I asked, pointing to Scott and Stiles. Stiles was shooting balls at Scott. Scott's hands were taped. "Who knows? They're both idiots." Jackson replied. I laughed. "That's not nice." I replied, but laughed anyway. "Oh, well." said Jackson.

Soon Scott pulled on the duct tape and it ripped apart. "Oh, wow." I said. Jackson just nodded. Scott fell to the ground and was groaning. But after a few seconds he seemed ok. 'Weird.' I thought. "Well, I guess I better go." said Jackson. So he headed off. I looked to Scott and Stiles one last time and then followed Jackson.

Soon I went to math and now it's Economics. Stiles, Allison and Scott are in this class too. Coach Finstock knocked things around on his desk. "Let's go. Sit, sit, sit, sit. We got a lot to cover today. Let's go." Coach replied. We all walked in to our seats. "Quicker." Coach said. 'Something's making him cranky.' I observed. I heard Scott say, "Hey, Stiles. Sit behind me, dude." Stiles went to sit, but Allison beat him to it. "Hey." he said. He shrugged to Scott. Scott looked nervous. Allison looked surprised and confused.

"Hey." said Allison. "Hey." Scott said. Stiles looked pissed. I haven't seen you all day." Allison replied. "Uh, yeah." Scott replied, "I've been super busy." "Hey, when are you gonna get your phone fixed? I feel like I'm totally disconnected from you." Allison replied. "Uh...soon. Real soon." Scott replied.

I ignored them then and got out my tablet and started doodling. Coach slammed a book down. And looked around. "Let's settle down." he said. I stopped doodling. "Let's start with a quick summary of last night's reading." Coach started, "Greenburg, put your hand down. Everybody knows you did the reading. How about...uh..McCall." He walked over near Scott. "What?" asked Scott. Then Coach Finstock moved over and leaned against his desk. "What?" asked Scott. "The reading?" Finstock said. "Last nights reading?" Scott asked. I giggled. Allison glared at me. So I glared right back. "Aah..ah..How about the reading of the Gettysburg Address?" asked Finstock. We all laughed, except Allison and Scott. "What?" asked Scott. "That's sarcasm. You familiar with the term 'sarcasm' McCall?" Coach answered. Scott looked to Stiles, who had a very smug look. Then Scott said, "Very." "Did you do the reading or not?" asked Coach. "Um...I think I forgot." replied Scott. "Nice work, McCall. It's not like you're averaging a "D" in this class. Come on buddy. You know I can't keep you on the team if you have a "D". How about you summarize the previous night's reading. No?" Coach said. Scott shook his head. I heard beeping and looked to Stiles. He's holding a phone and on it is a heart rate monitor. 'Huh? what's that for?' I wondered.

"How about the night before that?" Coach asked. Scott looked down. "How about you summarize anything you ever read in your entire life?" Coach continued. "I..." Scott stammered. "No? A blog? How about... How about the back of a cereal box? No? How about the adults only warning from your favorite website you visit every night? Anything?" Coach asked and looking very irritated. The monitor is rising. Why so high? "Thank you, McCall, thank you. Thank you, McCall!" He banged his desk too as he said this and this, "Thank you for extinguishing any last flicker of hope I have for your generation. You just blew it for everybody. Thanks." Then he paused and then said, "Next practice you can start with suicide runs." He pointed to Scott. "Unless that's too much reading." Coach said, "All right. Everybody else settle down." I saw the heart monitor number go down. Wasn't sure how or why.

The rest of the class went by smoothly. After class I went to find Kol. "Hey Kol! Want to hang out?" I asked, "After school?" "For alittle and then I have to help my dad." he replied. "Ok." I replied. "So what did you want to do?" he asked. "Doesn't matter to me." I answered, "You can pick since you don't have much time." "Ok. How about we go to the arcade?" He asked. So after school, we headed to the arcade and played some games. Then after an hour, he headed home. So I do too.

I grabbed a snack and then go to work on some homework. Then we ate supper and I went to work on some more homework. I then realized I left my Chemistry book at the school, so I headed downstairs. "Crystal, where are you doing?" my mom asked. "To see if someone is at the school to let me in. I need my Chemistry book. I left it there. Allison doesn't have hers either." I replied. "Ok." my dad said, "Be careful." "Always." I said.

Then I headed off to the school.
