On the ship of the Red-Haired pirates, the yonkou Red-Haired Shanks was quietly talking with the 1st Fleet Commander of the now destroyed Whitebeard Pirates, Marco the Phoenix.
Marco's face was twisted with anguish at the losses of Whitebeard, Portgas D. Ace and countless others.
Shanks offered words of comfort whilst his crew was scattered on the ship, tending to the pirate's wounds.
Shanks flipped his head up, his scars visible and gazed at a rippling airspace, just above the captain's cabin.
"Triss, don't you ever get bored of watching and never interfering?" Shanks softly called out to the space.
Marco glanced up as a teenage girl revealed herself, his eyes slightly flashing with recognition.
"Not really, as it's my destiny to forever watch the world." Triss replied, her clear blue eyes glazed with sadness.
With a grunt, she dropped down from the roof of the cabin, her shoulder length chestnut brown hair bouncing. She was wearing a cropped black tank top and black skinny jeans. Her shoes were leather ankle boots. Behind Triss, her husband, Jackal had also appeared above the cabin, his lithe tail swishing in the air whilst he stared at the ship. Jackal was wearing a shirt that had dull black spots near the top. He was also wearing his neck- warmer and knee-length shorts.
"So why are you here?" Marco asked, his voice cracking.
" I came to ask something of you, Marco." She replied.
"What?" He said, somewhat apprehensive.
"Give me the body of Portgas D. Ace."
"Why the heck would I do that?!" Marco almost shouted, his eyes glaring at Triss.
"The answer to that question, I'm afraid, is something I cannot say."
"Could you at least tell me something, He hissed, "or are you too scared?!"
Triss stiffened and gave a small growl. Jackal sprang from the cabin and walked over to where Triss was standing, his lips drawn back in a snarl.
"You know very well what would happen if I suddenly start blurting out the future, don't you. The world could fall, that I can see clearly." Triss said with a menacing tone.
Marco sighed and lowered his head and thoughts filled his mind about what she could be planning.
After a good 20 minutes of thinking, he gave his answer:
"Fine."
Triss bowed deeply and thanked Marco.
" You have placed your trust in me, I will not betray it."
With those words said, Jackal swiftly walked to where Ace's body was, the whole in his chest gaping. Jackal gently picked him up and walked back over to Triss, careful to not disturb the resting pirates.
Triss again thanked Marco then suddenly realized that Shanks had been watching.
" Sorry Shanks, I'm going to have to ask you to keep this a secret. The rest of the world must not know, under any circumstances."
Shanks nodded and stepped back from where he was standing.
"Well, then. I'll be taking my leave. Stay safe, Shanks, Marco." Triss softly said.
With that, Triss placed her arm on Jackal's shoulder and they disappeared into nothing.
"So what do you think is going to happen?" Shanks asked Marco.
"Something, that's for sure." Marco muttered.
