"Why" she asked in a low whisper.
"I-" said Tom "No" she cut him off.
"Why did you leave me hanging" "Why did you think it was ok to get my hopes up" "Why would you do something like that? I just can't even began to comprehend as to why someone can be that big of a jerk. You know, I actually believed all your little lies about liking me and all that crap." She said raising her voice in anger.
"My intention was never to hurt you Nataysha. Things got in the way and other stuff.." he said whispering the last part.
"Just forget it. I don't even know why I bothered asking. It's Julian's party and I don't want to ruin it with nonsense"
"It's not nonsense. Just please try to hear me out Nataysha.. Please?"
"Fin-" she got caught off by a tall beautiful blonde woman saying "Hey Tom I've been looking for you! You ready to go back in?" "Sure" said Tom hesitant while still looking at Nataysha.

She felt like she couldn't think straight or at all. He went to the ball with another woman, so that must've been the reason he didn't talk to her again she thought. She walked back into the ball trying to find Julian. When she spotted him and signaled for him to go over to her.
"What's up" he asked curiously.
"I just talked to him. I saw him and he pulled me towards him and told me I looked beautiful. I asked asked why he did all that he did to me then he said he never meant to hurt me and if I could hear him out, then this really pretty blonde came over and interrupted us, I guess she came with him. But anyways now I'm even angrier that if the reason he left me was for another girl that he could've told me". She was running out of breath and had to sit down.
"Hey come on look at me, I'll try talking to him tonight but I don't think he'll say anything to me. I've tried asking him in the past about you guys but he wouldn't tell me." All that she could do in the instance was just to try to forget what happened. Julian invited her to dance and she accepted. Nataysha was with all of the guys dancing but it went from lit music to slow dancing so she was walking off the dance floor when a hand pulled her back. She turned around to see Tom.

"Dance with me" he asked politely.
"No" she said in a whisper.
He ignored her rejection and grabbed her by the hand back into the dance floor. She didn't resist but said "Tom-" he cut her off by placing his lips on her softly. Nataysha was not expecting that so she pulled away.
"Tom, a dance and a kiss won't fix anything. You think it's ok to come back and act like everything's ok? No!" "I know that, I know that I hurt you, and I know for damn sure that I want to fight to get you back because ever since that first date you're the only thing that's on my mind from the minute I wake up to the minute I fall asleep. I had to stop talking to you because my managers, coach, and every body was telling me that you and I were a bad idea, that you were too young, and that the public won't accept us. That's why. That blonde girl was a forced date that I had to bring. I'm done listening to what other people have to say about us because I care about you". After hearing that, her eyes teared up but she didn't know what to do.

"Tom I believe you, I really do but I don't know. You didn't even say a word to me as to why and the worst part about it all was that you never gave me a reason so I was just left there hanging wondering what I did wrong or why, when all along it was you"
"I know that" he said wiping her tears away and caressing her face. "Let me take you home tonight and we can talk, ok? "Okay" she said.
