Ash's POV

My Kalos journey came to an end. I am staying in a hotel until I can find out what to do. I think I might go back home..
Clemont and Bonnie are returning to the Lumiose City gym, and we exchanged Pokegear phone numbers. Now I can stay in touch with him.
Serena is staying at home in Kalos. She wouldn't let me go to the hotel until I gave my phone number to her. She put my number in her phone and texted me, at that moment, "KIT, Ash!" In case you didnt know, that stands for Keep In Touch. It's what all the cool kids say.

MISTY'S POV

I heard my phone ring.
But it was no ordinary ring.
It was a ring I haven't heard in a long time.
I wondered if it was really him.
I picked up the phone.
"Hello?" I said groggily, still half-asleep. It was only 3:45 in the morning.
"Misty? Is that you?" Ash said.
"Ash! You haven't called me in forever! And at three in the morning you do?"
"I forgot we have a large time distance."
"It's okay, but I was going to get up in 15 minutes anyway."
"Really? Why?"
"Well.." I considered not telling him. What if he hangs up because I'll be busy?
Why am I even worried about him hanging up?
He's my best friend, thats w-
"Misty? you there?"
"Yeah, yeah." I decided to tell him. "Basically, I wake up at 4:00 every morning, do the dishes, take a shower, get dressed, clean the house, wipe the tables, eat my breakfast, and make breakfast for my sisters."
"Wow." He said.
"Yeah. It's pretty tiring, but by 5:30 I am out of the house to watch the sunset on the Cerulean Beach. Since the gym opens at 7:00, I have a little time in the morning to myself to swim, and pull myself together."
"It's so hard to wake up in the morning, but by now I have trained myself to wake up at 8:30, on the dot." He said.
"Must be nice. To sleep so long.
"My dad used to give me wake-up drills every morning, back then I had to wake up at 7:45."
Wait, what? Did he just talk about his dad? I know we've been best friends for a long time, but I've still never heard him talk about his dad. I wonder if he really trusts me, or he's having a day when he looks back on the past, or if he just blurted it out on accident. Maybe his dad is coming home soon, or something like tha-
"Misty?"
"i'm still here, just drifting off in my thoughts.."
"That's okay."
I heard a knock and a voice coming from his end.
"Hold on Misty. Who is it?"
"it's me!" the voice said.
"Come on in, Clemont!"
"Ash, Serena called me earlier, and said you left to Kanto." Clemont said
Ash must've covered up the edge of the phone, because their voices seemed muffled.
He whispered, "I'm going to soup rise all my whens by visiting to my long's house in Manto."
I couldn't hear the line that well, but it sounded like Ash was coming back to Kanto!
"Ash? You there?" i said, even though he was indeed there.
"Oh yeah, but I'll call you back in 10 minutes, okay Misty?"
"Sure. Bye!"
He hung up, and I saved the number in my pokegear, but updated. Name? Ash Ketchum. Job? Pokemon Master, and my best friend. Ringtone? the special one, the one I'll be hearing from now on.
