Misty's
POV
---------------------------------The beach..
The crashing waves against the sand..
It was all so relaxing.I tried to clear my mind.
But all I could think about was Ash. He was truly on my mind, all the time.
I grabbed my board from the Cerulean Gym, and went to Cerulean Beach.
I ploped my board on the edge of the sand, and sat on it.
I paddled out.
I saw a wave, and jumped for it. It was a huge wave. This would be the biggest wave I've ever ridden, and I was surfing for at least 6 or 7 years.. that's after Ash left.. NO! Stop thinking about Ash, just relax.
Everything was so.. peaceful.. and.. silent..
I hopped on the wave, and flew under, in the tube.
It felt amazing. I never would have imagined anything like it.I was a bit scared of falling off the wave, so I exited the tube and made my way toward the sand.
Ash was standing there.
"Misty?" he said, still looking like a firetruck.
"Uh, yeah?" I said, stumbling on a rock, stubbing my toe, super casual, probably blushing. Yep, super casual.. I failed.
"Where, how, and when did you learn to do that?" Ash said, his embarrassment fading away.
"I learned, well, here, at the Cerulean Beach. I taught myself how to surf.. 7 years ago."
"But.. that was when I left you."
"I know. I used it to take my mind off you.."
Ash blushed like crazy..
"But.. I missed you every day." I said.
"It didn't work until my third year. Then I got a passion for surfing, and everything to do with it."
"Misty.." Ash said, still blushing a bit.
"Yes, Ash?"
"Let's go back to the house, and maybe later, me, you, Brock, Dawn, Paul, May, And Drew can go on a camping trip later."
"Cool. Since we are in Cerulean, I'll just go get my supplies. I'll see you at the house."
"Yeah, Mist. You too.."
Mist? Was that a nickname or did he just forget the 'y'? Ash never gave nicknames to anyone, besides his.. mother. Wait, what?
If it truly was a nickname, that means I was close to his heart, just like his mother.I decided not to worry about it for now.

Ash's POV------------------------
Wait.. back up. Did I just call her Mist, and she didn't punch me?

Misty's POV-------------------------
I went to the gym, got my supplies, and looked above my bed, on the shelf.
I sighed. I treasured that hat as my forever, and after I gave Ash the special fishing lure, he gave that to me. I love that hat. The hat.His hat.
*{~~flashback~~}*
Ash came up to me.
"Don't cry, Misty. We'll meet again someday. You, Brock, and I are going to go on even more adventures."
"I have something for you." I said, less and less tears rolling down my cheek.
I pulled out the small white box, opened it and presented Ash with a fishing lure with my image."So you won't forget me."
"Misty, I could never forget you!"
"..." I stayed silent.
"Remember the time you saved me from drowning? And you fished me out of the lake?" Ash said.
We had a flashback to our journeys together. (flashback in a flashback :o omg paradox)
"I want you to have this."
Ash handed me his hat.
"Thank you, Ash." I said, while he was wiping away my tears.
--flashback end--
I packed my bag with the supplies and headed off. To Pallet Town. Where my best friend was.
