|Chapter One| Endless Pain
"Oh, no you don't," Dash growled as he watched me try to wrench free of his grip. As he drove his fist into my stomach, I silently cursed myself for not training my human body more.
I slumped against the school bathroom wall as I lost my breath. My already terrible headache had gotten worse, not to mention I was already bruised there from my fight with Skulker last night.
"Come on, Dash!" Paulina whined, tossing her silky black hair behind her. "You're going too easy on him!"
Please just shut up, I don't need this right now... Please, shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up-
Dash glared at her, "C'mon babe," The Jock started, "You know I'm only getting warmed up..." He glanced at me and cringed slightly. If I were him, I would do the same. After all, I look disgusting.
My skinny and bony body was leaning against the bathroom wall, in only my boxers. My skin had disgusting patches of purple and yellow around in random spots, along with some stab marks. My hair was dripping wet from the repeated swirlies that had almost drowned me. And with the way that my one of my ribs was pointing, I think it was obvious that it was broken.
Dark bags layed underneath my eyes, it had been atleast a month since I last slept and getting beat to the point I almost pass out from pain doesn't help. And having your lunch money being stolen every day (typical bullies) doesn't help with my 'Skin and Bone' situation.
Kwan, who had been in charge of the stabbing, had stepped closer to me. He was holding a small pocket knife that doesn't look like much, but is surprisingly painful. Kwan glanced towards Dash, asking if he was okay to stab or slash me. Dash just nodded.
"C'mere Fenton, it'll be over quickly, but I'm sure it'll be very painful..." Kwan trailed off as he took a step closer to me. I shuddered in fear. I can't do anything, With that thought, I was terrified.
Then, without any sort of signal or warning, he dove the knife right into my shoulder. He gripped the knife tightly as he twisted it and pushed it even deeper into my skin. Tilting the knife at an angle, he suddenly yanked it out.
Pain coursed through my veins as everything went blurry.
They were too strong, all of them. After Vlad created a bracelet that disables my powers and locked it onto my leg, I haven't been able to do anything normally. It's as if, he's literally turning off my power source. Now, I feel even weaker than I usually do in my human form.
I tried to get away from them, but theres not much you could do when trapped in a bathroom.
I don't want this. I don't want to be afraid of going to school, the one place where I am 'safe.' I'm attacked everywhere else... At home, my parents machine's attack me as they try to track down the ghost me. When I'm just about and around the town, the ghosts will find me. School was my safe haven... But not anymore...
"Quit trying to escape," Paulina glanced at me, her pink lips forming a sassy pout. "You know you'll only make it so far before we catch you again."
Suddenly, a burst of anger mistaken as courage swelled in me. "Give me... Back my....C-Clothes..." I gasped each word, my cheat heaving with exhaustion.
"Shut up," Dash curled his hand into a fist and aimed for my face. I tried to duck, but Kwan grabbed a fistful of my hair, forcing me to be still and take the pucnh.
"Stop moving!" He hissed in my ear as he tightened his grip on my hair.
Dash threw his fist forward smashing me in the eye. He drew back and hit me again, this time in the nose. A crackling pain sparked across my vision before flaring to life, but I didn't let it show. I would never let them see my pain, if I did, that means I let them win... And I refuse to give up.
