1am Outside the Palace

Rock hasn't said a word to me since we left our place. I knew he was annoyed about the shootout tonight. However I was more concerned about Demo showing up to mine earlier I can't shake the feeling that Rufus has been in his ear a lot lately.

"Aye Rock what's wrong with you like we been shooting niggas up why you acting all gully tonight."

"Nigga don't you know we are at war rn with the Quicks this is exactly what I didn't want to be doing I rather be moving kilos not bullets." I look over and Rock and he's shaking in anger.

"Chris on some real shit I really think your plan will work I mean we found the cop but how will we get away with planting evidence without anyone tracing anything back to us." I look over at Rock and it's almost like a lightbulb sparked up in my head.

" Rock aren't we having a shootout tonight why don't we just tip off the police about it." I said proudly and Rock looks at me like I'm that Sukihana girl from Instagram.

" Chris they gonna know we were the ones who told especially if we don't show up like my nigga why don't you think this shit through."

"Listen we still gonna show up but we gonna leave early or we could hide out."

"Chris listen to yourself that looks suspicious as hell you need to think right now isn't a good time. We just need to hit a lick and next time we get a chance we could set them up but for now let's do our jobs."

I kept quiet because rocky was right I'm way to eager I gotta calm down and rethink the situation. Me and Roc hop walk inside the palace and the lights in the palace were already on and the whole crew was there silent which was very unusual. I look up and on the interior balcony Demo, Rufus, and Rj were standing over everyone and Demo looked very impatient.

"Finally everybody is here... now imma need everyone to make it on time from now on. Now tonight we aren't gonna to war with the Quicks I gotta spy in their ranks and she let me know they are waiting for us so I need all my soldiers on their P&Qs so we are gonna attack in 3 weeks time to catch them off guard. I wanna make it clear though that when we do attack RJ I expect y'all to wipe them out tonight. Any questions...?" Demo said while  making direct eye contact with Roc. I look over at Roc and he had a blank look on his face.

"Alright so everyone is dismissed!" RJ says with a stupid look on his face. See Roc is supposed to be 2nd in command so I don't understand why RJ is acting like he's important but I keep my mouth shut.

"C, lets dip" Roc says to me. I start heading out with Roc back to the car and the entire ride is silent I didn't know what to say because Demo is acting funny and not only that RJ is acting like he has Roc's title.

"Christopher in 2 weeks Dem is gonna plan the attack after tonight I know this because he let me know he told the others 3 weeks in hopes someone gets back to the Quicks and let's them know so they won't be prepared. Now Chris in those 2 weeks we have to convince Jio to help us and also we have to gather enough evidence against Demo,the Quicks, and everyone else under them. Now tonight imma handle everything you can go home and chill I can't have you die tonight. Chris when we do this there is no turning back so I need you to be prepared and await my orders." Rocky told me. I just nodded back in response because to be honest I zoned out after I heard Demo because I was kinda tired.

I walk back toward the car and head up to my place and get on my phone and scroll through Ash's Instagram. I look at her story and I see she's with 2 dark skins figures I couldn't see their faces clearly but I had a bad feeling  so I immediately grab my coat and head out because I gotta protect my baby.
