"Harry?" a woman's voice whispered, a familiar one, Harry noted. "Harry, come on, you need to open your eyes for me. Open those beautiful emerald eyes, go on, you can do it! Do it for mum, Harry."

Harry groaned quietly, placing his hands on his face, trying to block out what the woman was saying?

Who was she, anyway? Why did she say that she was his mother?

His mother was dead. He'd come to terms with it long ago, so whoever's cruel plan this was - well, he wasn't going to forgive them in a hurry.

She couldn't come back... Could she?

The memory was clear in his mind.

"No, not Harry, please, don't kill my son!" the lady pleaded, uncaring, for the moment, of how her other three children would react if she died.

She needed to keep Harry safe. She couldn't force him into this destiny - this destiny that would be such a huge burden on him as he grew older.

After all, they would all have James anyway. She had heard Voldemort torture him (and oh how she had winced at the sound) and how Voldemort must have used some sort of spell to throw him across the room.

She knew he was unconscious. Not dead. He couldn't be dead.

"No, not Harry, please, don't kill Harry!" the girl begged. She didn't care whether she died, even though she'd be leaving her four children without a mother, at least her little Harry would be safe.

"I have no use for you. You don't need to die, yet I may as well have some fun..." Voldemort grinned. "Crucio!"

No, surely that wasn't right. For starters, his mother had only had one child. Himself. So why was it going on about having siblings? And Voldemort had also used the killing curse on his mother right away, hadn't he?

Lily writhed on the floor in agony, wishing it would stop, but glad that she was taking the pain for her son. She would do anything for her fourth child. He was delicate enough already. She would even die to keep him safe.

Harry could see the pictures in his room and he could see many people in them that looked like him.

Those must be the siblings his mother had been talking about.

But he didn't have any - yet he could recall their names and faces easily.

Peter James Potter. He had red hair and hazel eyes with a few freckles dotted here and there. He was a studious boy but he did enjoy pranking people.

Daniel Remus Potter. He was a carbon copy of his brother and preferred having a laugh rather than bothering to do homework or any work in general.

And finally, Rose Lily Potter. His mother had named her - she claimed that having a flower name in the family was a tradition. She had raven hair yet her hair wasn't messy like Harry's, Peter's, Daniel's and James'. Her eyes, however, were hazel as well.

Harry appeared to be the only one in the family other than his mum who had emerald eyes. He wasn't sure if that was good or not.

"Alright, that's enough," Voldemort hissed with a venomous tone. "Once your child is dead, I will get back to you." He gave Lily a manic grin.

"Now it's time for your child to say goodbye. Go on, Harry. Can you say bye bye?" Voldemort laughed insanely, before raising his wand.

Harry just stared at Voldemort as though he were an annoying bug that he wanted to squash so he could get back to playing with his toys.

Harry stared in shock at the image in his head. He wouldn't stare at Voldemort like that, it would be asking for a death wish!

"You want to die so soon, boy? So be it. Avada Kedavra!" Voldemort snarled, smiling as the shot of green light at the boy, before staring in wonder and shock as the boy didn't die, but instead the green light was being projected back at him.

He hadn't died. How hadn't he died? Surely he must have had his mother's sacrifice of dying for him to still be living?

But she did sacrifice herself for him. She faced the Dark Lord, He Who Must Not Be Named, with no terror in her face at all so she could keep her smallest son safe.

Harry smiled, before finally opening his eyes.

Hey guys! You know, I think I made the description wayyyy better! Hope you liked it as much as I did. See ya!

Edit: Yeah, I changed it a little. I don't know. I'm in the mood to edit stuff because I don't need to focus too much :)
